The developers of 'Darkwood' have put up a free torrent if you can't afford to buy it

If this had been released back when I was a 100% Windows user I'd have jumped on the torrent & never even thought about buying the game afterwards, since adopting Linux as my main OS I'd much rather pay for the game upfront than download a torrent with the developer hoping that some time in the future I might think about buying it.

Is this a Linux thing or is it me getting old? I don't know.

I salute the developer for what they did, but I will buy the game as soon as I can to support them in the best way I can.

I have every Tropico game released so far, along with every DLC & I have yet to play a single one of them, I will be buying Tropico 6 so it'll get added to the list of games I really need get on with playing.

I'm using the Nvidia 384.69 drivers with my GTX 770 & there's no drop in performance since the patch even though I'm getting the message in the launcher, I just tested it with an Empire army against the Greenskins & got sent home on my shield, proof that I'm rubbish at the game but at least it's running just fine with my setup. :D

It's likely you're using Nvidia drivers which have a bug needing you to downgrade the drivers to an older stable branch that don't experience the performance issue. 381.22 and newer has a performance issue that the older drivers don't experience.
Thanks for the info Eddd, so the 384.59 drivers are broken? neat! lol, here we go with the downgrade upgrade roundabout again. :D The 378 drivers are ok to use?

According to the launcher my machine is no longer up to the task after this latest patch.

We each have the ultimate ignore function at our disposal already, it's called the power button, if I don't like something I just switch off my machine, walk away & do something else.

Liam should look into adding a Bozo Filter while he's at it.
