Personnally, I have a 4k tv and still play in 1080p. From 10feet away, I hardly see the difference. Unless you have a 70inch display in your living room, which I don't because I don't have enough space, 4k, just like RT, is pretty overrated, imo.
Edit: Thinking about this, I'd choose 144hz before 4k.

Yazan Aldehayyat: If you're trying to make a PC that has similar features and similar performance, I think the Steam Machine is going to be a really competitive price to that and provide really good value to it.This! It could mean that they are going the Steam Deck way, price wise. I like that.

I'm just happy that I held off from buying a new controller. I nearly gave in, last week. The Steam Controller is going to be an instabuy.

It's all about the price tag. I don't see 8gb being a problem for an affordable system and if you don't expect to play at ultra settings with rt maxed out. Medium/high settings in most 2025 games looks pretty good, anyway. Personnally, I can totally live with that.

Oh crap! Personnally, it doesn't really matters, but it's going to be a hard sell for my son who's a EA Sports "addict".

Is this to clear the remaining stocks of the last lcd model to prepare for a lineup "adjustment"?
That would be cool, but that's just wishful thinking on my part.

I did the unthinkable! I bought the 8gb version!
I should be banned from gaming...
This said, I had the firm intention of buying the 16gb version but, at this moment, it sits at 540$CAN... I found the Sapphire pulse 8gb for 390$CAN. Quite a steep difference!
Sure it should be called the RX 9060, but boy this card is rock solid. I run Jedi Survivor at ultra preset (no raytracing) at 1080p and it doesn't break a sweat. No stutter, no lag. Solid 60fps. Cyberpunk 2077, with similar graphic settings, same kind of performances.
No regrets.
