I'm sure it will sooner or later... most likely later, when the UE4 engine is updated for Vulkan.

I'm really looking forward to ARK getting Vulkan support, the fps should be a lot better and being able to actually get all the shaders working will be awesome to see. good times ahead :)

it'll be interesting to see the benchmark difference between the 2 games for sure. it's going to be funny to see a lot better framerate on the newer game vise the older one at least until SS3 gets an update if it does.

Things have rolled a lot faster than I had expected from the start. I was an avid Linux dual booter for a long time up until Civilization 5 was released for Linux. That was the day I totally wiped Windows completely and haven't looked back since. Valve and the wonderful folks involved with Wine have made my life more awesome now that I don't have to dual boot.

Games I'm most looking forward to are:
Street Fighter V
Xcom2
Rollercoaster Tycoon World
Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
Stars Beyond Reach

It's a shot in the dark, but I'd like to see Blizzard port Hearthstone and maybe Overwatch to run native on Linux. Hearthstone especially since it uses mostly Qt and EGL for it's code base.
and I'm hoping to see Bethesda actually port Fallout 4 for Linux. Of course I'm not holding my breath, but it would be nice to see happen.

Another great highlight video from our GRID Autosport tournament on Linux

one of these days I'll get some time to play that game, I really liked Showdown, just got it recently as well as GRID during the holidays. But GRID seemed to much of a simulation of racing to where I figured it was going to take me awhile to get used to it. Then you guys are here running GRID like Showdown, lol :D

The new Master of Orion 4X strategy game might see a Linux release

sounds great, I hope they learned a lot since moo3. moo1 and 2 were great games though.

Hand of Fate is a brilliant game, you should really give it a go on Linux & SteamOS

I got as far as the very last adventure/fight and it's incredibly reliant on RNG so much that I had to give up for awhile.
When this first came out I picked it up then as an Nvidia user as well, It was working perfectly fine but was incredibly light with only little bit of shadows, after a few months I tried to play it again and noticed how much darker it was than before. So I'm not sure where the bug is or is it a bug? maybe they actually wanted that sort of mood like Ark and actually have the shaders working on Linux with Nvidia but not AMD.

because after seeing ARK in Windows compared to the Linux side you can see how things are drastically different with the shadows and darkness of it all on Windows compared to Linux using the same hardware. It's because the shaders are working in Windows but not in Linux as of yet.

Albion Online update Brutus sounds like it will be rather good

I'm glad you keep doing these articles, it keeps reminding me I need to grab this game soon :)

i still play Diablo 3 from time to time, but mainly Hearthstone is the only game on wine i play almost every day. I've been playing Hearthstone on Wine since the end of beta. maybe one day, we'll see some native games from Blizzard since they are a contributor of Vulkan.
