I tried the waydroid method back then, and worked reasonably well on two Intel laptops I tested, but performance was terrible on AMD hardware (apparently because libhoudini does not work well on AMD CPUs). Anyway even if it worked well, there were some problems that would have prevented playing, like some odd mouse behavior (limited movement on the sides).
I wonder if this fixes the mouse and perf on AMD hardware, but will wait until there is a non-flatpack version to test.

Looks cool, but was going to install it from the AUR package, and it has a ton of Python dependencies plus some Node and Rust. Too many for a relatively simple tool.

Quoting: PyrateInteresting how TEKKEN has such a deep sale given it came out in like February earlier this year, did it not do too well sales wise? That's a Trojan horse. You buy the game at a discount, but then you have to buy one battle pass after another to be able to play with all the characters.

Quoting: shnullAdd to all this the mad prices of €100 or close for a single game, its plenty to be very picky . Newel might have been taken over by the triffids from all i see lately. How many original bipeds are still around since 2019 ...If you add season pass and similar DLCs, many games are in fact way more expensive than €100 (e.g. Tekken 8). But well, that's other different discussion.

Tried this more than a year ago on the Deck, and couldn't get comfortable with controls. So the controller support and Steam Input integration is a really welcome addition, will give it another try!

Awesome! I thought they would never do this, since I suspect they get a lot of pressure from many publishers against these kind of features.
Thanks Gabe!

It will difficult for this to succeed, but with that team involved, they should at least release something. And if they open source it and is good enough, it might survive even if the company dies.
At least it might make Valve release SteamOS for other devices once and for all!

Quoting: melkemindDMCA does not apply worldwide.Quoting: doragasuNone of the things you mentioned are what needs to be "cleaned." It's the technology that allows the software to circumvent Nintendo's copy protection. I assume it's encryption of some sort. If you're an old librarian like me, you remember that Linux has struggled with this issues for decades. It used to literally be impossible to play DVDs on Linux because of the copy protection. It was illegal for libdvdcss (the software library that allowed you to de-scramble DVDs) to be packaged with distros, so you had to download and install it separately.Quoting: Liam DaweI suspect a **clean** Yuzu fork (other dev team outside USA, no Patreon or any other revenue source, strong anti piracy statement, no support for leaked ROMs, etc.) could maybe stay safe. But of course who is brave enough to take on this task? Don't count me in :tongue:Quoting: EhvisThe interesting thing will be what they do next. The code to both has been preserved and deleting all mirrors is something even Nintendo money can accomplish. So it's only a matter of time until builds will pop up somewhere (possibly under a different name). Will Emudeck pull those in?I think the EmuDeck developers would be pretty stupid if they did pull in some fork, they would be opening themselves up to lawsuits for facilitating what has already been basically declared illegal.
This is all because of the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act), which specifically mentions circumventing copy protection as a form of copyright infringement. It doesn't matter if it's done in the USA or other countries because most countries have signed on to copyright treaties that extend those laws beyond their borders.
