The Lenovo Legion Go 2 launches in October - it's heavier and very pricey

(1920 x1200 )

Cool, 16:10 AR and higher resolution than the most used to play resolution 1920x1080p.

Also the price is like, aham, yeah my balls.

Only device I'm kind of interested is zotak zone 2, it has 2 trackpads, correct resolution and aspect ratio, but of course they won't release it, or if they fo is goi5to end up being a joke, but at least it looks like a steam deck ( pro? ) because it's tracpads, they are a must for me.

If they release it and it cost like the z1 extreme junk, 890 bucks, I could dream buying one, unless I can buy it and pay in 3 months.

Anyway, my 4 years old desktop gonna keep being much better, so I can always stream everything to my deck that got a crappy wifi module, but it is good enough.

The problem is that lots of games aren't made for tiny or high dpi screens, something the first genius that using the reshade ui detector + some magic that makes it more legible gonna sh*t gold

The big Call to Arms update for Valheim is out now

I h8 this so called single player games that support coop when in the end they are made to be played and gameplay is tailored that way, at least they could dev a dumb bot player, now that AI is in everything, including cereals, hell, just a class that combines with yours so you can send some commands, persona 3 fes made for ps2 already had bots to fill the usual roles.

And that could ve applied to every coop game there is and there will ever be. It's known

Valve attempts to deal with jokes, memes and ASCII art reviews on Steam

Quoting: a0kamiI'm way more frustrated by troll/shitpost steam guides than reviews tbh, might have grown too old for the internet already
my Man, that's the biggest piece of shitty spam they've got to end with, I couldn't agree more, example: "how to open the game".
And spamming the same shit over 100 game guide forums.

I'd just ban those pricks and their email, phone, their hwid, and or course no matter how many games they own, the more the better, never allow em to log in their accounts again, bye bye all games, also send the sopranos to break their hands bones so bad they end up being dust.

Seriously, burn them all!!! Burn Them All!!

PlayStation Remote Play app for Steam Deck adds easier connections, new resolution options

Allow zooming out from resolution for users targeting a resolution beyond their screen resolution (i.e., 1080p on Steam Deck).

ENDLESS Legend, 100% Orange Juice and Dragon Age: Inquisition are free to keeps

Not sure what you're getting at with this statement since the version of Dragon Age Inquisition that Epic is giving away is the Game of the Year edition, which includes the DLC and other bonuses.
Of all the free offers I looked at from this article, the only giveaway with just the core game is ENDLESS Legend. There is a ton of DLC for this one. The core game is not a demo, however, and no one is obligated to buy the DLC. Of course, I am sure that the hope is that you will like the base game enough to want to purchase some of the DLC ...
Exactly, and that's the only game I've talked about, still, if you check bundle games, no one gives free money. I don't care about epic, I've never touched that shitty store because the CEO of that crappy store that is like 100 million ages away from what the store of Steam offers, talked shit and have been trying to be cool, cuz people know shit about devs, they may not charge that ammount of money that every store does to publishers, not devs, even if you are an indie dev and publisher you gonna sell more accepting 30% cut, that btw the more you sell the less they charge, it's the best bet, because most users have they games for steam. They offer also an store with forums, guides, that let's users to search games by tag, genre, gamepad support, Also not because they wanna make people happy obiously, it's an investment , they want to have people using their own OS, but well there is proton for people that preffer linux because whatever... they have steamlink, they have that shit of sharing games you playing with others, etc...

But don't start with I don't care about stores, even though if you wanna play for example some games they paid fucking much as an investment, to make people only able to buy the game on their store, at least you can buy steam games everywhere, not just on their store... I talked about a game so what the fuck I care about that EPIG freemium store, and if you don't know that it's a way to sell hundreds of unlocked and taken out of the game because yes dlcs, so that's why you can see the main game about 90% on sale and wops, they having fucking insane ammount of dlcs, just check paradox games, I'd burn them all.

And if you think cool ok, go ahead, free stuff, like CS:GO, they've made more money being a casino than developing games. Anyway, I'm not gonna do you homework, just find it yourself.

Ghost of Tsushima single-player only on Steam Deck due to PlayStation Network features
18 May 2024 at 4:51 am UTC

This game has the same flaw The Witcher 3 has, if you like to explore and do everyquest you get overleveled... even open world games that tell a story need to care about that, in the end I guess those players that skip the intro, and go forward without reeding because that's too much effort apparently, play the best way.

Caves of Qud gets a huge new Beta released with the big UI redesign
18 May 2024 at 4:40 am UTC

I like the idea of building a base or explore a always randomized world, rpg, turn-based but without needing to read a manual, guides, and still have no idea the fk you doing cuz they use graphics you can find artistic, but other don't understand shit, with an UI that seems it's done extremely difficult on purpose, also makes it impossible to play with a controller even on steam deck.

Zomboid could be the game I'd like to play but isn't turn based and it's always changing graphic engine, I'm waiting to play a version that has a bit of a plot, a purpose, not just surviving because yes with out any kind of quest etc...

A better example of a game I like kind of roguelike is Battle of brothers but bigger, with quests not just contracts, npcs you can interact, open world, crafting game, class bassed, turn bassed, controller friendly if possible and newbye friendly, it can be hard but at least I have to know tf is happening, how I failed. ETC

I've played Neo scavenger, survivalist but it's too clunky, I always end finding the same games. If you can share your knowledge, oh, it has to be single player.

Sheltered, like that game, it could be done much better and the second is worst they say, with more content, Stay of decay kind of the same. "Guess I'll blow my brains, but first I'm gonna get drunk"

They very generous, free game, but when you check let's see hmm, it's not the full game, it's a way to make people buy must have dlcs unless you wanna play a demo.

No one gives anything for free, not even Epig store, thanks to Tecent I guess they made an easy way to know what not to buy till it's 5€ and I wonder why those games that oh, lost millions and their reputation, take for example Metro saga, their games lost their value so much you can buy entire saga for what, 8€? those who received the bribe from tencent don't care they happy with their whores and their blow, or maybe they blown already their brains, cuz sooner than later they gonna see money is not what you need, the thing is all team behind those games, (that's many people working for living with a contract for a normal pay, they have to keep working every day, despite what epig sais mixing developers with publishers, well I think they were not so happy to see their work getting dust on Epig, but life is unfair.

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered heads to Steam from Aspyr

Quoting: LoftyEven though i have some of the older Tomb raider games on PC, there's still something charming about playing the originals on PS1 just as i remember them, i guess i just like the retro aesthetic. I might pick these up on a bigger sale eventually, after all you can pretty much remaster a lot of retro games yourself now with Ai texture packs and 4k resolution.
i think its not just nostalgia, i often prefer retro graphics even for games i never played, i have a few theories for that:
first blurry textures like on n64 make more sense when we are looking at fiction, i mean if something is low poly it might as well have an blurry texture, even if it dont we can hide the flaws of an texture in the fact that we cant see the full details.
another thing to consider is the abstract aspect of it, such as when you see 3 simbols that form an triangle , despite it not being there:

when we dont have many details our brain fill in the extra details.

not to mention i grew playing nes games among others even older i never saw an problem in playing with abstract forms.
ohh i agree. The more realistic or true to life the graphics become the less imagination i feel you need to piece it back together again. In fact, isn't part of the appeal of video game graphics that they are an abstract or sorts ? Escapism is more likely to be realized from something that makes your mind share the visual workload than it just being presented to you with no effort. For instance, a dream is not a perfect representation of reality but it allows for you to explore sometimes difficult concepts or move into a different space which is different from the everyday 'reality'.

Im not against hyper real graphics, they have a place.

speaking of your blurry N64 textures it reminded me of how older technology was used to assist the graphics such as the 3-point filtering the N64 used in order to make stairs look on some games, so if you emulate with bi-linear filtering it stops the stairs looking like stairs.

other things about older graphics is that there was a kind of comfy cartoony appeal that a modern day game will fail to emulate due to it having incredible sharp textures as a comparison. Or perhaps the use of fog for draw distance that is not needed anymore that actually created an unintentional certain atmosphere to a game, like on Turok for instance.

anyways im rambling now. Basically modern games miss a lot of things that older games did through hardware limitation and so this leaves true retro games having a unique appeal that makes them worth playing today.
You can always put grease on your eyes and enjoy new games, same as those crt filters that make me wanna puke, and my first console was an spectrum then nes, I like pixel looks but just for old games, that thing about pixel art while I'm sure same people things 4k means better graphics, and the rtx marketing well, I don't think is very coherent, but to each his own, just sharing my opinion. 👍

Microsoft leak shows Fallout 3 and Oblivion Remasters, DOOM Year Zero and more
21 Sep 2023 at 1:57 pm UTC

Hope all of them are Multiplayer based fps with battle royale mode. I don't mind about loot boxes, today games worth much more to make, that's why some publishers had no chance but to change game prices at release date from 60 standard/ 70 deluxe to 70 standard / 80 deluxe. So, that increase of release price that is about 18% more covers the increased development? Ok, it has no logic, but their game their rules, same as EA likes to release games close to being illegal in lots of countries and directly illegal in 1 for sure, can't remember wich one, Belgium Iirr, maybe in more countries
