Ah guys?
The only mention of Linux is (from the site FAQs)...

Is the game available for Mac or Linux?Maybe I'm missing something, but that's not what I'd call encouraging...
Banished is currently only for PC’s running Windows. However, I’d like to make Mac, Linux, and SteamOS versions in the future.
Nvidia To Show Off Vulkan On NVIDIA GPUs & An OpenGL Linux Graphics Debugger

Between the enthusiasm for Linux-based operating systems shown by Nvidia, and the wide support for their products (graphics cards) by games compatible with Linux-based operating systems, I throw my full support behind the company... In the past, I never really gave too much though to the brand of graphics card used in a computer, but now? I won't buy a computer unless it has an Nvidia graphics card and actively avoid computers using AMD graphics cards...
My last few computers have used AMD graphics cards (high-end models, in some cases) and I was (obviously) not always opposed to AMD, but they seem only semi-interested in Linux-based operating systems (something that seems to be changing, albeit slowly...), their graphics cards almost always pale in comparison to the performance of equivalent products from Nvidia (under Linux-based operating systems) and support for AMD products in Linux games is appalling (how many titles have poor or no support for AMD graphics cards?).
Just my 2¢...

I have been dying to get my hands on this since the moment I found out it was coming to Linux-based operating systems... It's never every game I go out of my way to buy on Launch Day, but this is one such game!

I saw a review of this on Good Game a few weeks back and it looks pretty interesting... I'd get the game if it were to come to Linux-based operating systems.
But, one should never buy a game until they're actually available for Linux-based operating systems, so I'll wait and see what happens...

Tacoma From The 'Gone Home' Developers Is Looking Good

I bought "Gone Home" purely because everyone online was raving about it and because it was on special... But three hours later, I had fallen in love with the game and wished I paid the full price (though I sort-of made up for this, by purchasing a "special edition" new from the developers directly, which included the CD soundtrack)!
Although it's not really much of a "game" (an "interactive story" would be a more fitting title), I simply cannot recommend Gone Home highly enough... You're not going to "play" it over and over, nor are you likely to "play" it regularly, but you will be glad you "played" it through at least once.
By the way, for anyone interested, the adorable (*cough cough* cute *cough cough*) Nixie Pixel has uploaded a short overview of this game, too:

Feral Interactive Are Teasing Yet Another New Port

Never again.
No matter how much I want a game, I simply will not buy a game until it is available for Linux-based operating systems... Otherwise, the developer will not see a cent from me.
And if it is a particularly big title (e.g. a so-called "AAA title" ) that I think will "further the cause", a game I really appreciate or want, I'll make a genuine effort to buy the game on or near Launch Day... If I cannot do this (in the Real World, not all of us have mountains of disposable income...) and it is a particularly big title (e.g. a so-called "AAA title" ) that I think will "further the cause", a game I really appreciate or want, I'll usually buy it at full price (i.e. not when there is a sale on).

Quoting: LinasYep, never buy a game for a Linux-based operating system, until it is available for a Linux-based operating system... I'd like to say that common sense prevailed in my case, but nope - I learnt that the hard way and bought a game based on a false promise.Quoting: srlsboyIt's on sale. 75% off. We will miss it when the port is released.Nothing is released on Linux until it is released on Linux.
Please do not buy games based on promises or rumours just because they are on sale. In the best case you are depriving the Linux porters of their payment, and in the worst case you are just buying a Windows game.
Never again.

The Big Three Build Engine Games On GOG

But the way, it's interesting to note that GOG.com have two versions of Shadow Warrior - the "classic" (original) version and a seemingly graphically polished "2013" version (the "classic" version is not available for Linux-based operating systems in Steam - not too sure how this differs from the "redux" version I have in Steam)!

Quoting: HamishShadow Warrior and Blood only received their Linux releases on GOG over the past few months, but even if they had been around forever, I fail to see why that would preclude me from reviewing them. :huh:Ah okay, I have Shadow Warrior, but the Steam version I bought last year... Besides, I wasn't suggesting you don't review them - it's never too late for a review - just failing to understand the significance of the post.

SteamVR Headset From HTC To Release Windows Only First

I felt that the consumer electronics and entertainment industries moved away from 3D too quickly, but there's a lot of research going into virtual reality and if "they" get it right, there's no reason why it can't or won't take-off and truly become the future of entertainment...
I'm disappointed by this, but I'll still get it (well, unless Razer release their OSVR headset first).

Quoting: liamdaweI still think it's a fad that will fade with time, I don't want to strap a bloody device to my face. I'm not bothered personally.I hope not - I've been saying since I was a kid (I'm in my mid-30s now) that virtual reality was the future... And for the first time in all that time, we now have a lot of big companies with a lot of money pushing the concept hard!
