I'm seriously mixed on that last one because it'll probably lead to more age verification rubbish and invasive telemetry, but if a halfarsed "block user" button can be added to stop messages from that filters out any messages from the offending user then I'd be fine.

I'd be fine with going back to shopping with GOG if their official client actually comes to Linux as a native package with proper wineprefix handling for non-native games. Their lack of Linux support is what made me give up on them.

Did I miss a big Fedora update with Mesa issues? I was still stuck on Fedora 42 until yesterday so I probably missed it. Turns out that it didn't want to update while Wine was installed.

Having a special interest group for stability sounds like a good idea though. Ubuntu has a lot of design choices I don't agree with, Mint and Debian don't update quick enough and GarudArch is too unstable for my daily driver, but Fedora's got a good balance of stability and new packages without having a load of Ubuntuisms that I don't really agree with.

Between the AI and the 32-bit fiasco I've kind of been losing trust in Fedora, but I do want to stick with them if I can. If I do end up distrohopping again however then I'm probably off to Debian land. The more I use that distro on my teritiary older computer, the more I find myself liking it.

Oh yeah. This game. I completely forgot about it entirely.
This... thing that is wearing Sonic's flesh got some absolutely ridiculous delays and has basically missed its hype cycle entirely. Wouldn't be surprised if they pull the plug on it one or two years into its release. I'm a massive Sonic fan and it really stings to see them drag the blue blur through the mud. I'll be skipping this one and will probably just stick to Sonic R through the PS2 Gems Collection.

I'll update my computer when I get home later. I just can't be bothered shopping around and potentially changing distros at this point, but because of the AI thing I'd rather not use them for future installs. It's a shame too because Fedora's actually a really good distro.

I've been playing the heck out of the network test and I'm loving it so far! This is probably the most I've been into a kart racer since... ever.

As for the other stuff... well, I've come to terms with online only and Denuvo - all they really get out of me these days are a mildly irritated grumble. No, my real gripe with the game is actually its ridiculous £65 price tag. Am I loving the network test? Yeah! But £65 loving it? No. Sega are being even greedier than usual with that utterly ridiculous price tag and, as much as it pains me, I'm going to have to wait this one out until the price goes down to something more reasonable.

Well... I guess there's SuperTuxKart's release candidate to tide me over until Crossworlds is affordable.
