True, Valve published bigger version of these artworks, but in fact they are expanded only a little...

That's a real deal.

To celebrate Half-Life turning 20, Black Mesa released a trailer for Xen

This looks great. And Black Mesa so far was a wonderful experience.
It's a community project. No wonder it takes them that long considering the quality they achieved.

TBH, I was quite upset that Valve did not come up with anything at all for Half Life's 20th anniversary.
Ofc, no one with a sane mind really expected Half-Life 3 or substantial news about it. But something that shows deep respect to the company's roots that started it all. A franchise that so many gamers still consider a milestone in gaming history.

Nothing.

That's just sad.

Developer of 'Bad North', a real-time tactics rogue-lite seems keen about Linux support

This is massively exaggerated and, thus, wrong.

Why would that be the case? Game developers on Steam should focus on ensuring compatibility with distributions that are officially endorsed and supported by Valve. There are only two distros that meet that criterion: SteamOS and Ubuntu. It makes their jobs easier. People running something else should test first on either or both of those two before writing bug reports or writing bad reviews related to technical issues.

I'm all fine if devs are just focusing on SteamOS and Ubuntu.

My point is that telling devs that there are "trillions of bug reports" for different Linux variants is not helping our platform. It's massively exaggerating the problems with different distributions.

The excellent theme park sim 'Parkitect' to leave Early Access November 29th with a campaign mode
13 November 2018 at 10:34 am UTC

Campaign mode? <3

I'm sold. Will support it just for this alone.

It hurts so much to see the many great (gameplay wise) sandbox games that don't offer a campaign.
And usually it's not because the devs don't wnat it, but because it's damn hard and expensive.

Feral Interactive have put out the system requirements for Total War: WARHAMMER II, due on Linux this month

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoC'mon Feral, stop wasting the time with this! You should be releasing the episode 1 of Life is Strange 2 right now, because it has Platinum rating when played via Steamplay 3.16-4

I'm sure they're not wasting their time.

There is some truth to your post, though.
And I feel sorry for Feral. :/

Reports: Valve making their own VR HMD and apparently a new VR Half-Life
11 November 2018 at 11:03 am UTC

Half Life will be 20 on Nov 19!

Unthinkabel(?) Valve does not come up with something on this day.
Gave up hope it will be anything substential about Half Life 3
but a press release containing this prequel VR title + upcoming HMD seems plausible to me.

Book of Demons no longer getting a native Linux port, developer plans on 'supporting' Steam Play (updated)
5 November 2018 at 10:21 pm UTC Likes: 4

I don't know. If you consider a native port not worth the effort, that's sad, but okay from a technical POV.

Yet, if you argue that you end up with plenty of issues trying to port your code base (crackling sound and whatnot) and then claim a generic compatibility layer outright beats you, then you're probably not a very good developer.
