Quoting: subSo I won't be able to play this with my Radeon 7950 on Linux? :/

That game works fine on Windows.
Likely Mesa just isn't in a state for those cards in terms of features and/or performance.

Good question.

Does RADV officially support GCN1?

Humble Indie Bundle 19 is now live!

Quoting: enzThe games added in a few days are supposed to have Linux support too. It's likely they've already been featured in old bundles, though.

There's been one exception to this rule: a HIB featured Giana Sisters without a Linux version and the Humble team promised the port would be added "very soon" after. It was four years ago...

I can think of at least another one.

Quoting: fleskRakuen is very good. One of the few games I played to completion last year.

This reminds me of the imho very sad fact, that with the sheer amount of games I buy in bundles and sales, I extremely rarely play them often or even complete them (that includes many that I actually really like).

That was different in the 90's - at least for me. I had access to only a very few new games at a time. They were expensive and I chose carefully which ones I bought. And usually I played them with lots of joy and typically completed them.

Tbh, I prefer that to that inflationary situation today.

Quoting: michaGreat to see RAD offer Linux support now. Their tools are among the very best!

Judging by some guys who work for RAD that I know from Twitter, that's quite likely true. :)

Valve's card game 'Artifact' will be on Source 2, it's not free to play and will release this year

Quote"We've always been a little bit jealous of companies like Nintendo," Newell said. "When Miyamoto is sitting down and thinking about the next version of Zelda or Mario, he's thinking what is the controller going to look like, what sort of graphics and other capabilities. He can introduce new capabilities like motion input because he controls both of those things. And he can make the hardware look as good as possible because he's designing the software at the same time that's really going to take advantage of it. So that is something we've been jealous of, and that's something that you'll see us taking advantage of subsequently."

Erm... Does this sound like "We're going to make a console." to you, too?

No.

As much as Ken Silverman got his praise for being a prodigy programmer,
I remember being shocked looking at the build engine source.

What an incredible mess. :D

Shouldn't it be a great opportunity to bring an old gem to new life
for a new generation of gamers by "just" taking what you already have?
A fantastic story and gameplay.

So take some capable programmers, gifted artist and make this happen.
Don't "add" stuff beyond minor, maybe subtle, things.

Shame on them. *facepalm*
