Physical media is more about collection aspect, it's just the fun of "collecting"

360 was last console I bought until I picked up a switch, and I made sure every game I bought had the full game on the cart.

What was really nice was buying indie games for it though, alot of them would also include a little art book or stickers ect

Same reason I bought an evercade tbh, not to really play on the thing as much as I just love collecting for it!

This project looks very personal and something I wouldn't get into myself as I'd have to buy some sort of printer, make labels ect and it'd still just be an sd card end of the day.. sure they're set to read only but it's memory controller still not as good as an actual ssd, nor is Flash memory good for cold storage, but my regular ssd's get powered up every single day.

If anything I just want to see Alesh Slovak make youtube videos showing off his hand-made physical games rather then do it myself, it does look cool

KeeperFX is cool, though I had already set that up pretty easily in the past thanks to lutris scripts

I was unaware they did 3d games as well.

Gives me hope maybe one day Discworld Noir will get compatibility, that games difficult to get working well on modern systems

It's a cool concept but I already do enough tinkering as it is so wouldn't wanna go down this rabbit hole

For now I'm quite happy just having my offline installers from gog backed up on a HDD.

I also want to back them up onto a portable ssd at some point so if I ever need to install a gog game I can just ug it into the USB port and install my games as needed

In terms of retro emulation, I'm quite happy with batocera atm

And not to ramble further.. but not only the lack of splitscreen but I'm kinda disappointed by the lack of MP bots which has been a staple since GoW2

Also the lack of Gow2 and 3, alot of us were hoping for those two games to be included

Just checked and yeah I was sent a code on the xbox app :)

Really hope they add splitscreen, my partner has never played GoW

For me it's a very nostalgic game, I'd go round my mates all the time playing splitscreen co-op and its what made me want a 360 (along with the fact I knew Halo 3 was coming)

Then I met a great group of people I'd play custom server with, all of us brits and we'd have a great laugh in party chat while enjoying some Execution mode. The amount of hours I put into the multiplayer was insane!

Bonus points for the easy anticheat working on linux, hopefully we'll be able to workaround the microsoft account issue to enable crossplatform play.. also I just hope people stick around and the MP stays active

@tohur

Wasn't aware they were giving away keys, I have the ultimate edition on Microsoft store, if I recall it didn't run very well

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to check it out if that's the case. Though I'd be limited to my Windows install with it being the Microsoft store

Looks to be based off the "ultimate edition" version, so think I'll be waiting for a sale as the differences seem kinda minor

Looks like the removed splitscreen from the PC version which is a massive shame
