OpenRA has a new test release, plus the OpenRA powered RTS 'Fractured Realms' has a pre-release

Quoting: Liam DaweThe screenshot was taken on Manjaro, works fine there...
Odd, so Manjaro doesn't mind all the file capitalization issues that happen when developing on Windows? How do they achieve that? Hmm, maybe you used a strange filesystem that has to work around that?

Ok Fractured Realms is currently broken on Linux (edit: Only Ubuntu and derivatives?), but we did a PR to fix it in the above linked repo. The problem I have is that compiling OpenRA seems to be next to impossible on Ubuntu20.04 due to some Mono shenigans and I don't have access to my Manjaro PC for some time. Seems like on Arch installing "msbuild" is possible and then one can compile and test the fixed version of Fractured Realms.

For me I can just hope they release a new Appimage with the fixes soon.

Quoting: EagleDeltaI've been trying to test Fractured Realms, but when I click on anything I get the following error in the log:

Exception of type `System.InvalidOperationException`: Unit `t2_command_relais` does not have a sequence named `icon`
Anyone else run into this?
yes same issue on a Ubuntu20.04 system.

FR looks really awesome. This seems to be the GPL licensed source-code: https://github.com/Divadawm/Fanwars [External Link]
Not sure if the license also covers all the art assets though.

Work is underway to better support ASUS ROG laptops on Linux

Quoting: eldakingRepublic of Gamers? What a stupid name. I'd be ashamed to use something with that name.
To be fair, ASUS is a Taiwanese company, and I think with that background the name is a bit more understandable.

Anyways, while not officially supported, I always had quite good results with Asus laptops on Linux. And build quiality relative to price at least used to be quite good (have not bought one in some years).

But I also think it is also worth considering buying a Taiwanese brand over a Chinese government front like Lenovo.

Flat Heroes is a lot of fun both single and multiplayer.

Project Heartbeat is a brand new community-driven rhythm game out in Early Access

Hmm, a rythm game that seems to be playable well with a standard controller. Might be interesting for that alone as most others are impossible to play like that.

Unbeatable is a rhythm-adventure about siblings, creative blocks, and rocking out coming to Linux

Nice, clearly Studio Trigger and especially Kill la Kill inspired artwork. Seems to work surprisingly well in 3D as well :)

Quoting: PatolaThey changed the whole game engine after the game was released??? That must have been a hell of a job...
Might be in preparation of a sequel...
