Dying Light Patch Released, Our Thoughts On It, Still Terrible
30 Jan 2015 at 2:28 pm UTC Likes: 1

KNOWN LINUX ISSUES WE ARE WORKING ON:
•the game does not launch on some systems (i.e. Linux Mint)
•the game does not work with Radeon cards
•some rendering/OpenGL performance issues
•too intense blur effect
Well at least they're aware of the issues. I was thinking of waiting on getting it, but I might pick it up after they get the motion blur and performance problems patched up.

I don't mind. Delaying it just means it will work better.

Paradox Releasing EU4 Expansion And Hearts Of Iron IV - I May Become A Hermit

I don't know when I'm going to get back to EU4. I've spent the last few months playing CK2 instead, and with the new DLC out for that next week, it might be some time :P

Xbox One Controller Now Works On Linux (Without Vibration)

I've always liked the Playstation controllers over Xbox, though I haven't tried any of the latest generation's controllers.

That is, when I actually use one, since keyboard and mouse is almost always better for me.

City-building Game Banished Is Still Being Ported To Linux, Woo

It's a good city builder but the survival elements get so stressful. You can get to 300 or so citizens pretty quickly but at that point, you need a ton of food production. One long winter will stall out your crops, leading to a bad harvest, or an early winter you lose most of them before you can harvest. And then so many people starve.

People freeze to death if you don't have enough firewood, houses get cramped if you don't keep up with population expansion well (which isn't great if you get a disease going through your village), you can run out of materials quickly so you need to keep up with that, and you need to watch storage space as your village grows and try to put it somewhere convenient for the villagers to get what they need quickly.

But as hard as it is, it's very good.

Wasteland 2 Is Selling Very Well, What A Shocker

It's working great for me. Just playing through one of the early places, the choices (intentional and unintentional) are great and actually affect the game, as they should, being a cRPG :D

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Linux Beta Due Soon! (UPDATED)
22 Sep 2014 at 7:59 pm UTC

Quoting: Maquis196Missing executable... boo
You probably need to get into the beta. It's usually a code you put in the games properties. When Hotline Miami was in beta on Linux you had to just enter a few letter code (hl, hm, hlm) Something like that. You might be able to find the code for it on the community page.

Or they haven't started the beta yet and are putting it up early is all :P
