Quoting: GuestOut of curiosity, what CPU do you have? I’d like to upgrade my first gen Core i3, but really it’s still enough for a lot of things… Only a few games (*AHEM* witcher 2 *COUGH*) seem like they may be CPU-limited. That, and video encoding / compiling C++, of course.
I have an i5-2500k but with Broadwell coming out this year it'll be 3 generations behind. But it helps that I have 16GB of RAM and 4GB VRAM from my GTX 770.

By the way I run Witcher 2 on Ultra (without Ubersampling) at around steady 60fps on both Windows and Linux.

I dual boot. There are a couple things I need to have Windows for, though I rarely use it and every game I'm playing at the moment runs perfectly fine in Wine or natively.

I might drop it the next time I redo my system, which will be either when I upgrade my motherboard and CPU (they both really need it) or they all of a sudden make 1TB SSD's at a reasonable price.

Izberion, you can still use the program, right? What's your distro?
I can open it, connect, and change the settings. But when I try to manually add a game I get the GTK errors. This is on Debian Jessie KDE. It's definitely my system though. I really only have one other GTK program installed (Pithos) and I'm getting similar errors from that, though it works.

I remember looking at this when I first picked up Linux, but never tried it. Just installed it. Getting errors because of GTK: Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_show_uri: assertion 'uri != NULL' failed

Don't know what it means since I use KDE.

Quoting: IzberionIf you're getting 53 FPS with a 560ti I wonder what my 770 will get.
Try it on high, 1280x720 with vsync off and let me know what you get. Interested to see.
That I won't be able to do since I can't get benchmarking software to work but it's obviously 60fps with minimal framedrop if any on Ultra with Ubersampling and motion blur off (because motion blur is bad) at 1920x1080. That's what I get on Windows too. 4GB of VRAM is great :P

By the way, to make the combat feel great look up the Full Combat Rebalance 2 mod. It's make by a CdProjecktRed dev. It's a windows installer, but installing it with Wine or PoL (like I have to do because Mono and Wine don't work well on their own on my machine) works perfectly.
