Chivalry: Medieval Warfare To Begin Linux Port Testing
14 Jan 2015 at 6:29 pm UTC

Yeah there are a few graphical bugs and the server list doesn't like refreshing even when pressing the button. The only major issues I've had is that my connection to servers freeze up (doesn't happen on Windows and it happened on multiple servers) and sometimes (though it's rare) all the players will disappear and will blink in and out of existence.

On a side note: If you need an fps counter hit your tilde key ( ` ) and type "stat fps" or join the steam client beta for the steam fps counter.

Did he even use the same Linux that we know?... What he described sounds nothing like the Linux I and many others use.

Steam Hardware Survey For December 2014
11 Jan 2015 at 1:15 am UTC

Yeah... I've only gotten the survey once on Linux (switched about a year ago). Yet I've gotten the survey most months on Windows. I find it kinda fishy but it most likely has to do with the smallish sample size (compared to the active steam community) that the survey is handed out to.

Bought this game back in my Windows days and never finished it. Now I'll play through it on Linux because it's a pretty good game.

Choosing between The Talos Principle, Borderlands 2, and Civ 5 was super tough for me, but in the end The Talos Principle won my vote.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays From GamingOnLinux

Merry winter holidays!... For all those that put up trees I hope they don't catch fire in the night because someone left the tree lights on. Though I doubt anyone is going to become a roasted penguin... Hopefully.

OpenMW Releases 0.34, 1.0 Looks Closer Every Day

Quoting: Segata SanshiroI'll play this for sure when it gets close to 1.0. Never played Morrowind, Oblivion was my first TES game.
Morrowind is more RPG focused than Oblivion and Skyrim and has the old school RNG attack mechanics. So if you like that style of game you will have a blast with Morrowind. It's personally my favorite game of all time since I grew up playing it and it lived up to my nostalgia when I replayed it... It's been over 10 years and I've never beaten it (but that's my fault for always getting lost in the world. XD). Daggerfall is also pretty fun if you really want to go back in time... Last I checked it was also released for free by Bethesda (though that would require wine).

Mount And Blade: Warband DLC "Viking Conquest" Is Out

For me M&B crashes at random... I can play for hours before a crash or for mere minutes before a crash. Very random. Having said that M&B is a fantastic game and the crashes haven't really tainted my opinion of the game.
