OTON X claims to be the first artificial intelligent games console, it's powered by Linux

So basically it's an expensive under-powered PC coupled with a procedural generated 2d platformer game that can change a few objective types and graphics. The "games" also looks cheaper than some of the fully free phone games I can play.

Honestly I think they should have made a cheap console with a easy to use custom engine/framework with an in-depth step by step tutorial to making your own games with their custom tools, as well as a platform for distributing those game/ game assets to others freely. Then I'd be more impressed and interested.

I think taking the programming out of game development is the worst thing you can do. After all 90% of the fun (and pain) is ACTUALLY making the game.

Interesting... But I wonder what the long term 'hook' will be for the game. If this game ends up with multiplayer, a level editor, and steam workshop support then this game could get a nice following like CS Surf.

In Case of Emergency, Release Raptor released into Early Access, yes this is a real game

I can't wait until they release their real game Stars Beyond Reach. This looks like fodder to keep things afloat until it gets released, and is also probably a fun little side project for the devs... As working on one game for a couple years probably tends to get boring.

However... I love that Arcen isn't afraid to experiment with unique ideas, and gameplay mechanics.

Snow Horse released with Linux support recently, it sits firmly in my 'whut' pile

I bet it runs better than No Man's Sky... Has about the same amount of entertainment value too (a few minutes). Hopefully Planet Nomads turns out to be good.

Three retro Disney games are now on GOG with Linux support

Why would I pay for an old game that I can EASILY get for free. These aren't worth money anymore. I think I'll stick to my "illegal" ways for games of this nature.

Slime Rancher updated, hits 300K sales and I asked the developer about their Linux support

Indeed... I won't buy the game till it's done. I think it's a bit more risky for us Linux users to buy early access games or even preorder games due to some developers either retracting their support or breaking the game during early access and not fixing them for months.
Even if these issues get resolved (or never happen) I still think buy early access games or preordering is bad consumer practice.

I purchased both TOME and ADOM when they released on steam... I'll support this game too. Voted.

Starbound officially released!

Not to mention they got their SteamOS icon back now that it launches directly to the game. I can't wait to start digging into all the new stuff (I haven't played in over a year).
