I recommend trying the mod... It's really fun. Plus it's on the workshop so it's brain-dead simple to get/use.

MAV, a custom mech combat game will come to Linux, looks great

I hope that video is of a very early version, because those graphics make games from 2003 look beautiful. For real though the mech designing looks insanely awesome and very versatile. Could be a good game if A: The buff the graphics, B: Smooth out the animation quality, and C: Have a decent size community around it because it looks like a multiplayer game.

An interview with Eagre Games about their new game, ZED

Fantastic interview. It made me feel all happy inside knowing that our community feedback made them more interested in Linux. I do find it odd Calvin copy/pasted his answer for two questions.

Side note: Calvin and Chuck. Please stop referring to Windows as "PC". It's cringy enough when regular people do it, and it's even more cringy when a developer does it.

The Talos Principle updated, 32bit support for Vulkan and more Vulkan optimizations

32-bit? What a waste of a developer's time. It really should have died out already.

Valve has a problem brewing with user reviews and bots

Valve needs to step up their game. For such a big company in the industry they are in they just seem so dysfunctional. I feel like they have made misstep after misstep, and the only thing that keeps them up is consumer loyalty and a lack of a viable alternative. Consumer loyalty will go down if they can't get their act together.

Torment: Tides of Numenera delayed until 2017, partnering with a publisher

Quoting: ShmerlI hope Paradox aren't going to cause any issues (if they are this publisher). A lot of games developed by their own studios are Steam only. I even suspect upcoming Tyranny by Obsidian which is funded by Paradox will also have such problem.
Must be hard watching all these steam only games pass you by then. I personally don't see steam as an issue/problem, even as drm since it's not invasive or hindering in any way.

Steam Dev Days is returning this October

I always find these things interesting, even a non dev person.

Minecraft 1.10 released, adds Polar Bears and more

I bought in when they released their first alpha; I was 14 and in 9th grade at that time, and now I'm 21. Needless to say it blew up with my friends and my other classmates shortly after... I ended up playing that game so much I now can barely look at the game without sighing.

Great memories though... Sad Microsoft has taken over, I feel bad for the devs that had to go through that change.

Racing Apex, a really cool looking combat racer is coming to Linux, demo to come to Linux soon too

As long as they have bots and an interesting set of cars and maps... This will be a buy for me.
