I agree. I would have like to answer "I use steam but don't care" for the mod question.

I think a "pay what you want" or a donate button, as they have talked about recently would be a more positive way to provide money to mod-makers.

Quoting: GuestIn Burnout Paradise, the car drivers and motorcycle driver’s head are still missing + sometimes big artifacts in the junkyard (game still works great otherwise). There is no drivers in cars in Burnout Paradise. That's why adding bikers was kind of strange. But, those are supposed to have heads.

330/620. I've bought way too many bundles... But I already had 100 or 200 games before Steam was released to linux and played nearly none of them. I kept telling me "I'll boot windows to play them", but never had. In fact, I've only booted windows to play games since Steam on linux was released. I've played through Antichamber, Hotline Miami and Bioshock Infinite on windows. I've also palyed a lot of Papers please an Risk of rain. But since they all (except for Bioshock) are on linux now, I don't think I'll boot windows in a near future. Except maybe for The Witness.
Now I've so much games on linux that if a game isn't on linux, it's a no buy.
And by the way, where is the Bioshock infinite port, that was supposed to be released earlier this year ?

It needs libGLEW.so.1.10 to run. I haven't got it on Fedora 20, but I copied the one included in steam and it worked.
I've only made one game but it seems ok. I like the retro style and the screen shaking anytime something explode.

Ho man! I'm not a "day one" guy, but I loved Geometry Wars 1 and 2 so much that I don't think that I will be able to resist very long. I hope that the linux port will be available day one, or at least, soon.

If they had only sold 2 copies, 1 on windows and 1 on linux, that would be 50% for linux, which is huge, but only 1 sale is just horrible. Percentage only matters if the sampling is big enough. 900 sales are not really representative compared to the millions of steam users.

If you read the whole article, he's not only bitching about linux sales, be the sales in general of his game. The low linux sales is just a small point in the whole postmortem. For example, he also says that he had made a drm-free version of the game for the humble store and only sold 2 copies!
But he also states that all the work made to port the engine to linux and mac will be reused for his next games. It's not like he is saying "linux, no more".
His point is more about wondering if doing linux and mac version day one is such a good idea and wether he should have used this time and energy to do a "better" game and done the port later.

I really like what you're doing on GamingOnLinux because you try to always be positive about anything related to gaming on a Linux. I also come multiple times a day because you have news I cannot find elsewhere.
And I also really like what Aspyr is doing, bringing AAA titles to Linux. I'm still addicted to borderlands 2 on Linux, even though I already have it on 360. It run so much better on my computer ! And I can wait to see what other titles they are going to port to Linux.

It's a shame because I really like their games. I've got all four of them. I don't really remember, but I got 2 of them with humble bundle and bought the other on steam. They're really fun games with very nice art style, and awesome music.
Revenge of the Titans is even one of the only linux games I've played before Steam on linux. They've shown awesome linux support so far. It's too bad they find the sales disappointing.
From what I've understood, the linux versions aren't their only problem since it seems that their games aren't profitable overall. As I've said, it's a shame...
