GOL Asks: What have you been playing on Linux & SteamOS recently?
23 Nov 2015 at 10:15 pm UTC

ARK has been sucking up most of my time, although it's still a bit crappy when compared to its windows counterpart.
Alien: Isolation is the runner-up right after ARK.

After Alien:Isolation, I'll probably finally get around to have Shadow of Mordor a go... as The Witcher 3 still isn't supporting tux. :(

Quoting: ShmerlStill waiting for functional DX11 support. I wonder what will happen first. DX11 support in Wine, or official Witcher 3 release for Linux?
Let's hope that there will even be a Witcher3 linux release... no news from CDPR about this whatsoever. :(

Rocket League Linux port is being worked on still, developers are listening
18 Nov 2015 at 10:11 pm UTC

Quoting: linuxgamerToo bad. I really want to play that game. But the longer it takes the better it will be optimized, or?
I believe it'll be just fine. Given that the game runs constant 60fps while maxed out in Wine 1.7.55, I seriously doubt that the native port would have worse performance. :P

Quoting: SnevI'll probably buy the Steam controller when Rocket League comes out on linux as it's still free with the controller, right? But then it won't be a Linux sale... .
I don't think so. Rocket League and Portal 2 were the pre-order bonuses for pre-orderers that made the purchase prior to Aug 27th.
From Steam:
For customers who have already pre-ordered the Steam Controller or Steam Link on Steam prior to Aug 27th:
You will receive free copies of Rocket League and Portal 2. They will be added to your Steam account by September 4th.

GOL GOTY Awards Coming Up, What Do You Want To See?
17 Nov 2015 at 11:13 am UTC

I think that as there are not THAT many quality games released this year as well (yeah yeah, your opinion is probably different, so what), then it would be best if we'd go with the "best graphics|story|gameplay" approach. Otherwise, there will probably be genres that only have 1 title in them, which is pretty awkward when thinking about GOTY. :)

EDIT: though there are crap-ton of early access survival games... so might want to put in a genre or two.

Quoting: dubigrasuThere is a FPS counter included, but for whatever reason still hidden and it takes some minor tweaking to activate it (min 1:10):
HOW did you make the FPS counter appear? :P
