This is clearly not true and I wish people would stop saying it.
I was expecting something like this to happen with Proton & the Deck, for reasons that seemed to me good and sufficient. But it didn't, and I have adjusted my ideas to reality. Some people seem to be just assuming that their ideas about it must have happened and so they don't need to check.

I'm glad it looks ridiculous; it'd be pretty disappointing if a game called "Schizollama" didn't look ridiculous.

If it is Starfield, they'll likely want this release before the end of the week when the Early Access for it starts. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Starfield releases as Early Access?

I don't think so, just checked.

Their "early access" (lowercase) is the idea for pre-purchase customers to start playing the game 5 days early.

Anyway, I think Starfield is not gonna support Steam Deck. It has really high requirements and it would struggle to even achieve stable 30 fps on 720p.
Have made it more clear, I of course did not mean Steam Early Access.
Say, just noticed--happy, uh, anniversary/birthday-like thing that in your case may just reflect the day you first enabled the feature!

I've noticed that the peril of releasing something retro-looking is it can never be retro-looking enough.

Canonical give some thoughts on the future of Ubuntu Desktop

Quoting: CyborgZetaNow, what is interesting to me is that I recall being able to use the printer without needing a Wi-Fi dongle plugged into my desktop. At some point, I needed to have my desktop connected to my home Wi-Fi to be able to use the printer. However, thanks to that, I did discover why KDE Connect never worked me. Obviously, it's because my desktop was never connected to Wi-Fi (and it didn't have ufw disabled), so of course devices like my Steam Deck would never detect my desktop. Hindsight is 20/20, as they say.
Oh, that's interesting. I wonder if that's the reason that although I can print to my printer from my desktop, my printer can't seem to tell my desktop is there in other ways, so like if I scan something I can only save it to a USB plugged into the printer, but not to my desktop. I should check it out.

Quoting: dziadulewiczBut if you don't like Canonical's choices (which obviously serve their model) why are you keeping with it then? That makes no sense.
Quoting: dziadulewiczMany proclaim "they have left Ubuntu" for something else but keep on talking ill about it
So, to sum it up, if you don't like Ubuntu, you should better use something else (sounds reasonable to me), and when you're using something else, you shouldn't talk bad about Ubuntu (why's that?!?)? How comfortable, so in the end, nobody is talking bad about Ubuntu, no matter what they do!
i think youre purposefully understanding him/her wrong
I dunno. That may or may not be what that person meant, but it sure as hell seems to be what they said.

Linux is guilty of this too. Look at this, real shady stuff!

Epic Games' new exclusive deal gives devs 100% for 6 months

Quoting: AdutchmanWhat I don't understand, is why they won't just hire a few good developers and make the platform enticing for users: if they would have feature parity with Steam, I would be a lot less hostile to them. Money can't be the issue because EG store has been a money sink for as long as it has existed.
It's an interesting question. I can't help feeling it's actually a personal or corporate-culture style/instinct thing. The person or zeitgeist in charge of Epic, Sweeney or whatever cabal of suits, does not think about profit-making as something that's related to satisfying customers. Rather, they seem to think in terms of cunning tricks and shortcuts.

(There must be some kind of separation between broader management and whoever's in charge of keeping Fortnite going, because I get the impression that whatever one thinks about the game, devs really work hard to keep stuff flowing to hold the players' attention. Mind you, if I were Sweeney et al., I would have a superstitious fear of disturbing anything around the goose laying them golden eggs)
