Stop mixing magnets with the Steam Deck or face fan and temperature troubles

You would kind of think that it would be a sort of in general best practice for devices intended to attach to computer-y things not to be magnet-based. How often is there going to be something in there that magnets won't play well with?

Druidwalker is an upcoming peaceful card-based roguelike about exploring

OK, so peaceful and relaxing, fine, I can work with that.
But looking at the trailer I can't figure out if there's any actual gameplay; it's like the cards are just smaller, less immersive substitutes for seeing your character actually walk through forest scenes. Like it's a walking simulator that doesn't actually simulate walking. If that's all there is, I don't think I'd really be into that.
Hopefully there's more. It's not like these people can't make games; I rather liked Merchant of the Skies.

Quoting: Eike
Quoting: psycho_driverMan it's a shame Epic Games Store and all of their paid exclusives cut into Steam's market share so drastically.
That's why Steam has an all-time low I guess?
Pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

Quoting: GroganI generally don't like "simulators" but one thing this has going for it... at least it looks realistic, not all multicoloured space etc. For example, no, a system with a green spectrum star doesn't have... green space. Maybe green light reflecting off dust clouds or something but space is not green! :-)

That's something that bugs me about a lot of those stupid space games.

I might like this one. Cargo missions etc.
Ha, this is how I play Elite: Dangerous. Mostly flying around doing passenger / cargo missions, and getting some Exploration money. I play the game to relax, not have high anxiety that pirates (or other players) are going to loot my corpse in space...
So, Elite: Not Very Dangerous!

Quoting: BotonoskiOh wow, I coincidentally bought a compatible blu-ray drive when I was replacing the dead DVD drive in my PC. Guess I'll be keeping an eye at my Value Village for games to buy and dump.
Nice!!! I just ended up putting my old Bluray drive into an external case; as not all computer cases are including a 5.25" bay these days...
A shame 5.25" bays are going out of fashion really, they are handy for more than just disk drives. I remember buying my father a bay accessory with a car cigarette lighter on it, as a bit of a joke, and he ended up using it for years until he quit smoking.
Ha, I enjoyed the jokes about optical drives being cup holders... and then someone built a bay device that was a cup holder.

The most gnarly thing I ever saw was an early teledildonics device, where you would use it as a... well they had little animations of a dude banging his PC tower :P
You should be more careful of the things you say that people won't be able to un-see.

Space sci-fi 4x city-builder 'Antimatter' gets a new trailer

Huh. It looks fascinating, but . . . how's it gonna scale? I mean, we seem to have everything from tweaking individual truck routes in little bits of turf on one planet, to, what, overseeing masses of 'em? Micromanaging the planets and ships will surely become impossible at a certain point.
