And so am I. Really, there's something absolutely crappy about American accents for premodern stuff in general. I mean, what would we say if there were a cowboy movie and everyone had French accents? That would actually be pretty funny, but it certainly wouldn't work played straight as a cowboy movie. (Now I'm imagining various cowboy-movie catchphrases spoken with an outrageous Holy Grail-style French accent)
I have less excuse for my attitude when everyone is presumably speaking some non-English language anyway and none of them could remotely be considered of British origin, like stuff about Vikings or medieval Italy or something . . . but somehow at least the more noticeable American accents still grate on me in those settings. It just feels wrong. I guess there's just something fundamentally too modern about accents from a country that didn't exist before the modern era.

If you play on Ensign difficulty, the AI does not get buffed, and is relatively challenging because the AI will use optimal build orders and prefer tech to go to war within the first 30 years.

That actually sounds really annoying. I hate playing my 4X games as insta-wargames when I still have a bunch of exploration to do, much less development. Think I'll skip that mod.
(Plus, it always feels weirdly irrational. I'm thinking to the AI, like, don't you have a planet to colonize or something? Go get the real estate that's free for the taking, why are you bothering someone who will fight for it?! I mean, sure, if you happen to be next to a ravening horde, fair enough, but otherwise . . .)

the issue is that they promissed one thing, and then downgraded their promisse, what about people who alredy pre order one?
at least they paid only 5 dollars, and have to refund only 5, but i can see that not everone will be confirming their purchase at the last minute, and not everyone who purchase, will see this video before they confirm and get screwed...

I believe what they originally said was, they will consider any game that does not work on the Steam Deck a bug. They did not say that the Steam Deck would ship bug-free. :grin:
