Airport X-Ray Simulator gets a gamepad and Steam Deck Beta

Ah, yes, my dream of being paid terribly to annoy people. I don't think this is a simulator I'm likely to go for.

I also wonder about the politics. Apparently the US government (if you can call it that these days) has been threatening to ban Chinese games. No, really. Will they do anything about it? Who knows? But I can imagine if I'm a Chinese company and I have the option to pull my operation in the US in an orderly way where I get all the data transferred over and stuff, I might go for it just to avoid some future scenario where it gets shut down by edict and things are not so controlled.

The glibc 2.41 update has been causing problems for Linux gaming

@Valck: For my personal use, games failing is in fact MORE important than another barrier against deliberately malicious software, because on Linux to the best of my knowledge in over 20 years I've never had any deliberately malicious software. I suppose sooner or later I might, but given the track record I could be dead before it happens. So this would give me a real problem in exchange for solving a problem I don't have.

Of course globally across everyone's Linux use, including servers and all that, clearly the importance reverses. So I can sort of understand their position, but it makes me glad MY distro is slower to update (Mint).

That cycle's valid for some releases, but I dunno. I don't think most ever got to that "greatest game" opinion about VI.

True enough. My aunt used to work for the department of Fisheries, mostly doing things about salmon. I believe at one point she had a "Spawn till you die" t-shirt.

Tryhard is a sports RPG about managing an underdog rugby club in New Zealand

There is an ad for some kind of rugby thing in my city showing as I read this article.
The creepy stalkerishness of ads these days has gotten to the extent that I actually feel reassured when they busily try to sell me something that is absolutely and definitively something I have no interest in.

As to the game, I am probably more likely to get this than to get any other non-comedy sports game I've ever seen. Which is to say, still not very likely.
