I'm probably one of the very few people on the planet who not only loves FF8, but that consider it to be their favorite of the series. I actually played this before 7 which I didn't get around to until much later. So much nostalgia with it and I still enjoy it to the present which is rare for things I have nostalgia for.

IIRC, Lord of the Rings is still copyrighted in some countries. Since Amazon has the license, that will (for now) mean that nobody else is making it, either. Which sucks, because I am starved for a new major MMO that's not some action-combat garbage.

But I do agree that it would have been crap anyway. Amazon just can't make games.

There is still the current MMO which I feel is really great even though its dated. It's the best Middle Earth simulator there is.

Though it almost certainly won't happen, I'm probably one of the only people on Earth who would love to see this guy get a redemption story before his career ends. I feel like he's been his own worst enemy with regard to promoting his games and would have been much better off keeping a low profile this entire time. One of my favorite games ever was Black and White. I have many good memories of playing that when it was new.

Finally! The clown award needed to be gone a long time ago. People totally abuse that to bully others with whom they disagree. You would see them piling onto reviews that were disliked in order to discredit them. I've had people do that to me on the Steam forums when I tried to argue against the incel, right-wing extremists who are attacking games for existing because they don't cater to them exclusively, and I was bombarded with the clown award. I can't help but wonder what took Valve so long. Now, they just need to eliminate the forums altogether because they are just one big cesspit.

They are "Proud". Yeah, okay. The new owners only bought it last year. They have had little to no involvement with it as it's been in development for years. This is almost certainly about saving money. It’s quite despicable. What they are really saying is, "We don't want to spend more money on this; Vortex is fine the way it is, so deal with it. I really hope this blows up in their faces. It's only a matter of time before they ruin the site and Nexus mods dies. Probably will begin with massive censorship of mods. I don't expect my lifetime unlimited membership to survive much longer either. I'm sure they will come for that at some point soon.

Except nobody will be able to afford the Steam Machine. I would be surprised if Valve didn't indefinitely delay or even eventually cancel it because of the skyrocketing prices on RAM alone.
