I believe Riot has a history of doing this sort of thing, allowing developers to leave with their IP if things don't work out. Glad for this studio, hope they can make it successful on their own.

On a completely unrelated note... It really is kinda terrifying that so much of the internet relies on Cloudflare not going down. Elune help us if Cloudflare ever does actually get hacked and taken down. 90% of the websites I visit did not work for at least 2 or 3 hours now.

Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive split with Cities: Skylines going to a new developer
17 Nov 2025 at 2:11 pm UTC

So Colossal Order mismanaged Cities Skylines 2 so poorly they've been fired instead of shut down and our now self-employed. Got it. Will be surprised if they last very long. I feel like they've lost the trust of too many people to be successful.

Anti-cheat will still be one of the biggest problems for the new Steam Machine

I'm just glad that the kinds of games that have anti-cheat are the kinds I don't play. They are all competitive games which I avoid like the plague. Thankfully MMORPGS don't use these, at least not yet.

Valve reveal the new Steam Frame, Steam Controller and Steam Machine with SteamOS

I'm hoping to get one of the controllers. Hopefully it'll be affordable for me, because I know for sure the headset and steam console won't be.

It would be nice if Epic would allow UT2k4 to get this treatment at some point.

Talking point - what have you been playing lately?

Project Zomboid, Project Zomboid, and more Project Zomboid. I'm absolutely hooked on it, especially after getting into mods for it. I absolutely adore this game. I just got a mod that lets my character shower and take baths. There's soo many mods. It's just crazy!

Halls of Torment is still probably the best survivor-like with The Boglands DLC and free update out now

I just played this for the first time on my Pixel phone in the middle of the night a few hours ago and I really enjoyed it. I love the Diablo aesthetic meets Vampire Survivors. Going to get it on Steam so I can play with something other than my fingers which started to cramp pretty quickly.

The only game using Godot that I've played so far is Halls of Torment. Really love that game. Glad the engine is doing well.

Will this actually last? Is GZDoom dead? God I hope so. Would be so satisfying to see Graf gone permanently.

Ahhh, hardly anyone remembers the original TV show . . . and deservedly so! After the original movie, which at the time seemed almost as big as the original Star Wars, they did a TV show, which was actually not bad for a while, but sank deeper and deeper in cheese as it went along until I gave up. I don't know how it ended, or if it really ended at all as opposed to getting a sudden axe.
I saw the original 70s one when I was a kid, but only as re-runs.
