Heh, while I don't hate Discord with the same fervor as you, I am certainly not a fan. That's most likely the case. The majority will go along with it and move on. The guy raging is in the minority.

What I'm more worried about is how they are going to ruin discord usability from going public. I'm expecting them to begin shoving ads in anywhere they can into the client and possibly locking features behind a paywall to push people onto Nitro+. I'm expecting BetterDiscord will be C&D'd or blocked in the not-too-distant future. If that happens, then I'm out. It would become unusable for me.

I did the whole rise up and leave the platform in protest thing with Reddit when the blocking third-party apps thing happened and I ended up being one of the very few who actually did it and I regret it all the time.

Apparently the ai companies have all the hardware they need but they are still buying to stock pile all of it. Theres going to be a massive flood of hardware being dumped onto the 2nd hand market when the bubble bursts and the companies are liquidating.

I'm probably one of the very few people on the planet who not only loves FF8, but that consider it to be their favorite of the series. I actually played this before 7 which I didn't get around to until much later. So much nostalgia with it and I still enjoy it to the present which is rare for things I have nostalgia for.

IIRC, Lord of the Rings is still copyrighted in some countries. Since Amazon has the license, that will (for now) mean that nobody else is making it, either. Which sucks, because I am starved for a new major MMO that's not some action-combat garbage.

But I do agree that it would have been crap anyway. Amazon just can't make games.

There is still the current MMO which I feel is really great even though its dated. It's the best Middle Earth simulator there is.

Though it almost certainly won't happen, I'm probably one of the only people on Earth who would love to see this guy get a redemption story before his career ends. I feel like he's been his own worst enemy with regard to promoting his games and would have been much better off keeping a low profile this entire time. One of my favorite games ever was Black and White. I have many good memories of playing that when it was new.
