When you see an area is difficult or it could be a boss... better do another route if you are not prepared. Encourages exploration that is very good on this game.
Now in my second run I'm 90% and I continue enjoying it a lot.
Note in my first run some Act 3 bosses needed 20 tries... and now with 2-5 tries it is enough. In 2nd run I'm with Reaper crest that makes everything easier.

Quoting: suchOtherwise, I liked what I played of Hollow Knight and will get back to it someday, but I'm not that into the idea of a harder sequel so I have zero interest in Silksong. I do really like the devs, though, so if I do finish Hollow Knight and feel up for more...I've 100 % Silksong and... yes! it is more difficult than Hollow Knight. But the standard end (end of act2) is not very difficult. If you want more then you start act 3 and it gets lot more difficult.

I hope "BEFORE" in capital letters means "much before", and not just "the week before Christmas".

Valve now warns on Steam pages if an Early Access game hasn't been updated in a long time

Says: myself. I also run a store. Nothing to do with videogames. I cannot put in my store a product as "To be announced" and have it there for years. My clients would ask about release year and my workers would loose their time answering them... for years.

Says who?
Just because you want to know more, doesn't mean anyone has to give it to you.

The developer owes you nothing. The developer owe me nothing, but the store is enlisting this product for 6 years with no update. Is the store who just have to say something or put a bit of pressure, or put a message like the Early Access not-updated message you point in this post.
Good games usually take a long time to develop, they likely just announced it initially perhaps a fair bit too early.Sure, and this will be one of best. I would not have defined 5+ years as "a bit too early".

You cannot have a product listed on a store as To be announced for five+ years without some regular updates:
