I love XCom EU & EW, and will certainly get this one when it's out and I've read some reviews to be certain it doesn't disappoint.
Still, I kind of want to play the first one some more, I 'only' have 100 hours in it and wouldn't mind another play through.

New Linux Gamer Survey For December

That's what I use and I'd call it a desktop PC / sofa PC - please add that as an option too! ;-)
I use it roughly 50/50 from both positions, depending on the game I play.

Quoting: TheBossSofaPC/ConsolePC is exactly as the name might suggest, a unit under your tv gaming from your sofa.I asked this last month too, but never got an answer: what do you call a PC with several monitors: 1 or more on the desk, and a TV in front of the sofa?

28€ with the content pack included? Thanks but no thanks. And I thought the earlier DLCs were expensive (I never bought Common Sense).
Don't get me wrong, I like both EU4 and CK2 and don't mind buying DLCs with lots of content. However, in my opinion Paradox's DLCs have too little content and get released a little too often, at too high a price. All just IMHO, of course.

I have way too many games already and hardly any time to look at them. Still, I might just buy M&B Viking Conquest as I've been looking at it since it came out and it's finally at a price I find fair. I probably won't have much time to play it though...

Quoting: ArehandoroI promised myself not to buy more games until I finished more of the ones I already own. You're not helping posting this sales, though xDSame here! :D

Quoting: ShaoluThe Talos Principle is seriously one of the best games of all time for me. I loved the Road to Gehenna DLC as well, and I would fund kickstarters for a whole series of these games if Croteam ever decided to do that. The Talos Principle is the reason I went back and bought The Swapper and recently I've read the guy they got to write for that game they're getting to help out with Serious Sam 4. I have no idea how that's going to work out given the very different tone of the Serious Sam series, but I'm intrigued nonetheless.Same here, for me it's probably the best game I've ever played. I've played the game and the DLC a LOT though not not recently. The Swapped is also a great game though its story can be a little more difficult to completely understand in the first play through. I can't wait to see what Croteam comes up with next (apart from SS4).

I have to admit that I'm pretty monotonous in that I almost always only play Kerbal Space Program. I do play other games from time to time, but KSP is my go-to game when I have some time off. That and Europa Universalis 4, but since I haven't got the new DLC I'm taking a pause from that until it goes on sale.
However, I'm also continuing my Pillars of Eternity game, I think I'm getting close to the end now. Then there's Alien Isolation but I'm not always in the mood for that, and honestly I'm starting to get tired of replaying sections due to the awful save system. Last time the Alien jumped down just in front of the save point and I had nowhere to hide: goodbye 15 minutes of play time. And really, now that I've seen the Alien it's not really that scary any more. I mostly enjoyed the first 2-3 hours of the game because I had no idea what to expect.
Oh, and I recently started a new game of Civ 5 after a year's hiatus. That's always a great time sink.

I watched a Let's Play of this game a few days ago, and it seemed quite interesting. I especially liked the trick where you could spot enemies by their shadows and shoot through obstacles to get them.
One reason I'm not rushing out to get this game though, is the length: '8 scenarios and 40 missions'? Can anyone comment on the length of the game and if it's worth the price?
