I had trouble with the type of PC question too: I use a desktop with 3 monitors, 2 for the desk for normal use and certain games that play better that way, and 1 large TV for playing games from the sofa with a controller. My desktop/sofa gaming us about 50/50, depending on the games.
I chose sofa PC though.

Yeah, wasn't it just a few months ago that they teased some new upcoming port which we never even got told what was? I distinctly remember something about a whale...
Stop with the teasing and start releasing!
Although, on a more positive note, if they do port Alien Isolation soon, and it works with the controller, I'll buy it.

Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear Expansion Announced

While I absolutely love all the original IE games and have played them many many times, I'm not too thrilled about this new adventure and will only buy it if it gets good reviews.

Quoting: KeyrockDo these folks seem to have writing and level design skill? Was any of the new content interesting? Compelling? Fun?To be completely honest: No, they don't. While I haven't played the extra campaigns included by Beamdog, the NPCs they created and their side quests were very bland, and didn't reach the level of the original BG1&2. The writing is mediocre, and the quests forgettable, with some very empty areas and badly thought out quests. All just my humble opinion, of course.

Portal Stories: Mel, A Free Standalone Portal 2 Mod Released On Steam

I don't mind difficult puzzles as long as you can postpone them; this is what The Talos Principle does very well. I hate getting totally stuck in a game and not being able to advance until I solve the current puzzle.
I have downloaded Portal Stories but haven't had time to try it yet, and with the DLC for Talos Principle hopefully coming out very soon, I doubt I'll play Portal Stories any time soon.

I wonder when they'll fix cloaks not being visible in Linux...
Apart from that, the patch looks great.

I just bought this game in the sale without knowing much about it, and man, is it a good-looking game! Not just that, it runs very well, I'm getting constant 60fps on high settings (with vsync at 60) everywhere (so far). I'm even considering bumping up the graphics settings.
My PC isn't even the fastest, it's an i3 at 3,3GHz, nVidia GTX660ti and 8GB RAM, running Gentoo kernel 3.18.7.
When a game runs this smoothly, I honestly don't care that it's a wrapper, though generally I do prefer native ports.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown, With The Enemy Within Expansion Reviewed On Linux

Anyway, to actually contribute to this thread, I bought X-Com the very day it was ported and have played it a lot (88 hours according to Steam). I love it, it's a great game and a great port, I haven't had any issue with it whatsoever except that at first, the in-game movies were overly loud, but this was quickly fixed in a patch.

Quoting: edddeduckferal... When we tested Windows and Linux performance on the same machines the Linux version was within a similar range to the PC. In most cases the PC was a little quicker to be fair but the Linux version was never slow.PCs run Linux too... I guess you mean Windows when you say PC. ;-)

It seems to be available already! I just came home and looked at my steam library, and noticed that a new entry had popped up. I'm still downloading, so I don't know if it works yet.
EDIT: Seems it's not done yet, one of the developers just posted in the Steam forums:
"We are making changes to the wiring in Steam in preparation for our Linux build. However, these are just changes to make it possible. There is no Linux build available yet."
