"Another fighting game would be great. He could either port Street Fighter 5 (which was supposed to come out for Linux a long time ago) or Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2 (works quite well with Wine and uses OpenGL so it shouldn't be too hard) or KOF XIV which uses SDL already. "
sdl?
input is not a big deal, it will save a few bytes during the porting process only

Quoting: Asuhaha I've played enough goat simulator that I will pick this up too when linux client goes official.
no, its not related, this game came before goat simulator, its not another comedy sandbox with poor physics to make it funnier (or due to lazy devs) and unfixed bugs to make it funnier.

its a real: wolf simulator.

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoCan someone make a big game like Fallout 4 with this engine?...
How big can be the maps?
no one knows what is possible until someone do.
i recomend you do some benchmarks, like puting a lot of objects on screen, knowing how many polys the have from this angle and seeing how many objects you can have before the engine crashes (or became painfull slow)
then try to realize how many there re on Fallout 4.

but AAA games like fallout 4 have optimizations and are much more complex than having a bunch of polys with high quality textures.
they use tecnhiques like bump maps to simulate more polys, shaders, so its not easy to compate.
yes godot has shader support, but you need to have the shadercode and they are written in another language (the most famous are glsl and hlsl.

so its quite hard to know how powerfull an engine is.

that is awesome, if done right...
i'm using godot 3.0 alphan, and neither the exporter for html5 or android is working here.
i'm not sure if i dont have an capable android device, or its because its an alpha.
as for the html5 version, i tried the web assembly and normal (asm.js) version on 2 computers (one with linux other with windows) and one tablet, on chrome and firefox on all of then, and nothing worked.

i can't wait for godot to leave the alpha/beta phase.
