Odd that prety much any distro works on just about anything apart from some real weird obscure setup.
Maybe I’m been a bit cynical 😁

Quoting: ScottCarammellI may be wrong but seem to remember reading that it was outside/community devs that sorted the linux side not Epic themselves.Quoting: Cyba.Cowboyok let's be so fr here he wasn't advocating for all linux users to be flayed in the town square he just sucks up to Microsoft way too much. the fact Unreal 5 natively compiles for Linux at all when it released during an era of decreasing Linux ports and increasing reliance on Proton shows he isn't pulling out all the stops to actively sabotage Linux adoption, he's just really slow and wants Microsoft to buy out his failed company.Quoting: ScottCarammellHave you ever read Tim Sweeny's comments about Linux? The man almost-certainly has more love for Hitler than he does for Linux.Quoting: Cyba.CowboyThat's NEVER gonna happen - Tim Sweeny is openly anti-Linux, and he's quite vocal about it, too. If you're really keen, you can play it on your Stream Deck via Remote Play... It takes a bit of mucking around to get the settings just right, so gameplay is smooth; but it works.I wouldn't be that cynical about it, it's always possible especially as Linux continues to grow. But unlikely? Definitely

Quoting: Liam DaweIs all anti cheat just client side? as in there are no checks or communication from client to sever ?Quoting: pete910It will be to run game servers, Not client. Don't get ya hopes up people !Well, no, that wouldn't make sense. They wouldn't use anti-cheat on the server builds because that's their servers, this is all to do with the client-side stuff.

Quoting: elmapulDoes Netflix have a Windows app? Thought PC's just viewed via browser.Quoting: kuhpunktI saw one comment... it could be a great way to bring a lot of streaming apps like Netflix to the Steam Machine as well. People might want that.nah, netflix issue is more likely DRM related than anything, i doubt it will help.
