They would more than likely merge the two.

Quoting: CreakKnowing that the Linux kernel maintainers don't allow two drivers enabled for the same hardware at the same time (from what I understood), there's going to be a battle between RADV and AMD if they open source their Vulkan drivers...

Nice to see a game that uses multi cores for a change, 100 + fps @ 1440p . Does seem slow paced but not a big player of these types of games.
Nice to see decent launch options too like Monitor selection, input ect .
Quite liked it tbh. Will keep an eye on this

The UNIGINE engine will get Vulkan support this year
13 April 2017 at 4:03 pm UTC
Going on the results I've seen it makes little difference on CPU.
If you look at the bench thread you have a 980ti with a AMD8320e beating the same card with a intel 5960, Rather a large difference don't you think.
Pretty sure a 5960 in vastly superior to a 8320e :P

Quoting: EhvisFrom the results thread it is obvious that even at low fps, the results are still very dependent on the CPU. This suggests that a decent gain should be possible with Vulkan.

It was supposed to be ground up Vulkan/DX12 wasn't it?
Sure I remember reading it on phoronix or somewhere last year

Superposition, the latest benchmark by Unigine, has been released

Take his benches with a bucket of salt, Why on earth he cant just use the actual score that the bench produces is beyond me.
1080's are averaging 4500 in windows. mine is 3225, so like I said, not even close.
Need to see the score as to determine how Phoronix and everybody elses stacks up, Showing the average is only part of the benchmark final score

Quoting: FredOQuoting: pete910It is brutal on GPU's tbh, also the openGL implementation is nowhere near the perf of DX from the scores I've seen.
From what I can find the Win10/DX11 results are very close to the Linux/OpenGL looking at Average FPS:
Windows 10 DirextX (1080ti - Extreme setting - 46 FPS):

Linux OpenGL: (1080ti - Extreme setting - 44.5 FPS)
