I was sceptical about VR on Linux, but it is viable.
I have Face Toaster myself. It works OK in some VR games I played.
Then there is VR video content too.

Bout face toaster for 100$(incl delivery) - best shopping i have done in years.

Quoting: CyrilSo if I understand correctly, the RT kernels will disappear, as it's become useless now?
I don't know if they will disappear but they will lose their purpose really.

its MEH...

Had to tinker with pulseaudio to make it work more or less. Don't seem much difference starting games with higher priority.

Quoting: GetBeanedIn it's "early access" stage with no ranked mode or anything
I think there is a ranked system. Don't get me wrong, rank system will be reset and many times into future.

Quoting: CanadianBlueBeerVulkan: brightness ok, FPS marginally better. Crashed and rebooted the system.
Not solving your performance issues, game is bad at it, period.
Reboot on other hand = problem on your system, hardware or software. No user space program is able to reboot your PC.(unless it uses appropriate OS calls, which 7days to die will not do)
nope. It's power/bios issue. If something tries to get too much *somehow*, then the system reboots.
It's supposed to just throttle, but, nope.
Well, BIOS/Power Supply kind of apply to 'hardware' definition.

Quoting: EriWhy are they leaving early access if they are going to overhaul half of the game and leave the story mode for more than a year down the road? I bought it on sale when they announced the end of early access but now I'm regretting hard, my fault for trusting an early access, again.
Not downplaying what you are saying, but downplaying what you are saying.
Game is playable as is, for many years.
Here destination is less important than journey. Honestly, no point of waiting for release, jump in and try it! Better yet, do it with your friends.

I would not be shocked to find out that average amount of hours sinked into game for 90% of all people who played it is like 500 or more. Me personally, I am well into 2000 hours myself.

200000 very positive reviews there - are for a reason.

Just for those who think its supported by actual dev, we have seen devs changing mind and removing compatibility before.
I personally wont consider title, till it's 50% or less in price. If I risk - it gotta be good value.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has a new trailer - still releasing September 5

I can't help but look at this game through prism of Russian/Ukrainian war.

Previous version of game was purely in Russian.
Now upcoming title, at least the trailer of the game seems to be in Ukrainian.

Considering that likely one of reasons that original game was so popular - BECAUSE it was in Russian.

And while I am half Ukrainian myself, my native tongue is Russian. And... I did understand 90% of trailer no problem. Even though it was in Ukranian.

I can't help but wonder, if there will be a Russian speaking version of the game. It will be a shame if not. Since good chunk of Ukraine does not speak Ukrainian, but speaks Russian.

Obsidian gave Pillars of Eternity a big patch - Linux and macOS updates being investigated

Quoting: 14I'd consider starting over and creating an "easy" character or something, however BG3 is immensely more enjoyable, which I am not done with despite over 100 hours.
I find Pillars of eternity as more polished game when comes to char progression. It's less rich, but doesn't mean it's worse.
When I start my char, i can plan it from head to toes, even if I start for a first time, at least when it comes to skills and perks, etc. Something I absolutely can not do with BG3.
