Steam Controller Demo From Pax Prime With Valve Talking About It

Quoting: ricki42From a reddit comment:
I have around 40 hours of gameplay with it and all have 82% battery life left. [External Link]

If this is true, that's impressive. Even if the 82% are way off and it's 10% left, getting >40 hours is pretty good.
It's probably witchcraft, but most likely a game which uses no controller rumble.

The battery location seems to be good from a design and weight balance standpoint, but if you have to change them its almost double the work.

I'm interested in the lifespan of the touch pads, as I carved the analog sticks of my XBOX 360 controllers with my -- obviously not gnawed -- fingernails.

Never played it, but reading the comments I really hope its not a Windows wrapper. If not I will buy it no question.

Arma 3 Available For Linux In A Beta

Quoting: edoIf the game is bought now, is it counted as a linux purchase? since the game is windows-only on the store. If I had to bet I would say than it will count as a windows key.
AFAIK the symbol has nothing to do with it. The OS with the longest playtime in the first two weeks gets the credit. If not played then it should be the OS used to purchase.

Indeed very impressive. Now we need some Nvidia Vulkan drivers, or at least Intel ones (Valve?).

From the comment thread of another article here:

Quoting: silverphilIs it mandatory to install nvidia-352 or can i get away with nvidia-331 (preferably) or nvidia-346 without issues or performance problems?
I have a GT 650M.
If you don't run at least those drivers everyone will look like smurfs (all blue), stability should be ok but those drivers are pretty old so your performance stability will vary.

I'd highly recommend using the supported drivers or newer.
I had absolutely no problem running the 346 drivers. No smurfs, no missing textures, at least i did't miss any.

Virtual Programming Have Been Busy, Looks Like They Are Doing The Arma 3 Port

AFAIK I didn't had any problems with Bioshock Infinite. Spec Ops didn't crash, but had that weird low fps mainmenu bug, which wasn't a big problem. The Witcher 2 is indeed unplayable for me.

I prefer native ports, but games which are out for a while are batter played through wrappers etc. as being non-playable on Linux (wine does't really count, but they are doing a great job btw).

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Released For Linux, We Love You Feral Interactive

1.3 hours on 14.04 with the 346.22 drivers and no crash and everything seems to be absolutely fine.

But fps are quite low and so i do not know if trying to upgrade to nvidia-352 is worth the work/risk. With Bioshock Infinite on Windows I once got at least +100% fps by updating the nvidia-driver, so I don't know what to expect.
