The Latest Steam Hardware Survey Shows Very Little Difference
3 Oct 2015 at 3:37 pm UTC

Quoting: NyamiouI've just restarted my PC by accident (walked on the power plug) and got the survey, the survey only appear when Steam start so if like me you rarely restart your computer and you never stop Steam it's not going to appear often.
I am someone who doesn't restart the PC (laptop) often. When going to bed i just close it so i do only restarts at updates (kernel distro...)
Quoting: NyamiouAlso you need to be an active user to have the survey, so if you haven't played much don't expect to have a chance.
When I once booted into Windows I got it, but hopefully others do not activate it when it occurs on "Linux only: accidentally using Win"

Quoting: fleskThe game was funded on Kickstarter last year, where it collected over $64k. Linux support was only included as part of the $60k stretch goal, so it was nice to see the developer deliver on their promise of a simultaneous release.

Sales Statistics From Super Win the Game, All Platforms Did Badly
29 Sep 2015 at 6:59 pm UTC

Quoting: GuestHow is 4% low? It’s huge!
Another aspect which hasn't been discussed is: If only half of all actual games have Linux support and Linux gamers spend same amount of money (and playtime) on all games, Linux game sales will have a scaling factor of appr. 2 times the Linux/total gamers relation.

Its not bad if the company has 100+ programmers of which only 2 do Linux porting (no allusion to Techland intended). If your a single person and have spent 10-15% of your time into that this will be no bonus when your game isn't that a big seller.

Quoting: DamonLinuxPLI have strange feeling that this is a port of toGL. Right?
I'm pretty sure we won't see a Vulkan port this year as the specifcations aren't out now, maybe we will see a "native" game or at least demo from Valve eg.

Quoting: PeciskBtw 355.11 or better is like bloating edge Nvidia binary driver.
I just upgraded from 346 to 355.06 as 352 was needed to run CoH and SoM (did work with 346 indeed). I want a stable reliable system and no "risk" by driver update for every single game.

BTW: 355.11 seems just to fix some bugs from *.06, so i wonder if it is really needed.
