Easily one of the best indie and most popular games, I've fully played through this game twice completing everything possible. The controls and combat are fluid and accurate, graphics and sound are top notch and the story is very good and the Linux version is nothing short of amazing stability wise

Highly recommend it :-)

Looks like Cosmic Star Heroine could have a Linux version soon

I like the art and the gameplay type, I'm jumping right in when that happens.

If my memory serves me, The Metro games on Linux is a different story for each game.

For one game they weren't provided with a Linux version, while for the other they did receive it but didn't deem it good enough for release and they didn't give any details regarding the nature of the issues.

Respect to such tenacious devs for not giving up. I'm not much of a space fan, however should they succeed I will buy it to thank them for their efforts.

Had the game for a while and I started it only after this patch. I like it a lot so far, excellent story, no visual bugs and 0 crashes after like 6 hours straight gameplay.

Albion Online hasn’t exactly been the smoothest of launches so far, but I'm hopeful for the future of it

Quoting: psycho_driverHmm, I was a launch day player for Guild Wars and its expansions. I'd say it was actually one of the smoothest MMO launches in history. I don't remember ever being in any kind of server queue for that game, and nothing serious going wrong in game besides server reboots every couple of hours for the first few weeks (which they usually warned about well ahead of time).
The districts system was very well at the time, still one of the best which made queues practically inexistant.

I wish all mmos used a similar one nowadays.

Launches like this are pretty normal for MMOs, I remember when Guild Wars 1 was released in 2005, rubberbands, frequent disconnects and lag were the daily breakfast. Exciting times :-)

So far I like what I see, may pick it up soon.

Editorial: No, Valve is not killing SteamOS or the Steam Controller

I think the reason SteamOS may not be (or has become) as popular is because of the very flexible nature of Linux, and not because Valve is abandoning the project. Everyone wants to use personalize his/her system and use a different distro for a reason or another and SteamOS while capable, isn't targeted for that - At the end of the day what matters is that Linux gaming is still growing and becoming more widespread, regardless of what distro one uses.

As for OpenGL/Vulkan development, last I checked it's still rocking, people just need to get their heads off DirectX and think more crossplatform. I remember not too long ago Mesa was "that basic driver you get with Linux", now that very same project is a beast of its own and while I don't use Steam, Valve's contributions haven't gone unnoticed, news such as this [External Link] is very pleasing on the eyes.

This journalist clearly didn't do the homework.
