10 Apr 2013 at 6:27 pm UTC

Quoting: YulikeAs someone who uses the Ferry terminal in Plymouth at least 3 times a month, I have nothing nice to say about Plymouth. The game on the other hand, it looks awesome and I'll buy it when it's out of beta. :)
Hah ouch, I like Plymouth personally :P, although I actually live outside of it now!

Terasology the open-source survival and discovery game releases build 24!
10 Apr 2013 at 5:23 pm UTC

Quoting: SuperuserMinetest's net code is considerably more advanced (it exists, for one).
Terasology has net code too just not in the main build, in the post on Multiplayer it states this is already done:

Work Complete:
  • Basic network system and connection establishment

  • Bits of the connection handshake - server information flows to client during loading

  • RemoteChunkProvider

  • Transfer of chunks and block updates

  • Basic entity replication

  • Event replication

  • Simple chat

  • Basic Client/ClientInfo/Character setup

  • Inventory replication

So it's coming! :D

The Latest Humble Weekly Sale (April 9-16)
9 Apr 2013 at 8:22 pm UTC

Quoting: CheesenessI sort of feel that maybe I should have payed a little less for this one. I misread the page and thought that 30 Flights of Loving was native as well.

Still, Blendo make neat games and it's nice to support them.
Has anyone contacted them to see if they plan to port?

Consortium: an original Sci-Fi RPG, partly crowdfunding
8 Apr 2013 at 7:12 pm UTC

I do not like the way they have done it at all.

Edit > I added their email to me into the article now. So right now you either pay for Linux at $10 and wait until it's out or pay $17+ and get the Windows + Linux version :/.

I know we are all Linux users here but I don't like any form of lock in like that when there are so many Kickstarters doing better offering up a Key for all platforms.

The Humble Weekly Sale featuring Tripwire
8 Apr 2013 at 4:38 pm UTC

Quoting: Hamishand I would like to take a moment to thank Liam for allowing me to voice my views as loudly and boisterously as I am, even though I sure as hell know he does not fully agree or follow them
Everyone is welcome to voice their opinions as loudly as they like. The only time I object is if people attack eachother then I expect to be messaged about it so I can deal with it. I like to run a relaxed rules area.

Until then carry on folks!

Shovel Knight - A groundbreaking love letter to 8 bits!
7 Apr 2013 at 8:28 pm UTC

Personally I have to say I don't like the sound of these guys:
Want to play Shovel Knight on your weirdo computer? Many folks have asked for Linux and Mac versions. We hope to support Mac and Linux either way, but this goal makes it happen for sure, and in a more timely fashion (hopefully in 2013!).
We are weirdo's apparently, may be a joke but it's not a great way to win our hearts to pay them money now is it?

Prison Architect coming soon the developers tease!
7 Apr 2013 at 6:10 pm UTC

Quoting: Henrik DanielssonConsidering they are on Alpha 8 now, I'm guessing the 9 means the next Alpha release.
Haha oh my I didn't even think of that!

Quoting: n30p1r4t3The graphical style looks quite similar to SnowBird's Eador...http://store.steampowered.com/app/232050/ [External Link]
The colouring looks similar yes, think it's the "bloom" effect
