It is not about players connected, but players actually playing. So someone sitting as a spectator wouldn't be classed as playing which the fake servers all have lots of people as spectators.

As far as I know anyway, i've yet to have an issue when using the has people playing option.

The problem is in my eyes 90% of indie games are very very similair maybe not in setting but in terms of general gameplay, like we have had a massive influx of puzzle and platform, but not many good RPG, RTS or FPS games.

Hmm that's annoying, I have removed that then. Hopefully the other measures will still help (no one but me can create pages now). So if anyone wants a page they will have to ask me to put it up.

I have locked the wiki front page to admin only so at least that won't get botched.

No game will "Just Work" but the ones on Desura are updated. I'm betting any pirate version would have been an old one, also we don't support piracy here if you are going to mention it be sure not to link to anywhere.

I first thought they wanted to stick to pay what you want so Desura wasn't the right place...but then to be trying to get on Steam too...not sure why they aren't on Desura now?
