Wine and Proton have a 'Curious Case of Phasmophobia'

Quoting: BielFPsI really curious about how they intend to solve this one, since voice recognition is part of windows itself rather than a package that comes with the game. They might have to thrown those calls in another voice recognition API because they can't just use Cortana outside windows for legal reasons, and as far as I know, they also can't just translate the calls through wine because the game itself is just using a windows component instead of distributing it.
It's noted right in the article, and in their post. They will use Vosk. Doesn't really matter if something is part of Windows, if Wine has its API updated to forward the calls once it has an implementation done - like everything it does.

Quoting: KROMIt really is the worst investment I have made in years. I'm barely leaving my couch since I have it.
Looks like that is not going to be better.
Thanks for the good old "lol", I feel ya on that.

Stadia definitely uses DXVK, it's part of their toolkit for developers already. I noted it in our recent Stadia article.

Humble have a Stand with Ukraine Bundle with 100% going to charity

Quoting: toor
Quoting: jrtRemember when you could give 100% to charity on every bundle? :D
Remember when "pay what you want" meant "minimum 1$" not "minimum 30$" ?
It's a full charity bundle, completely different to normal bundles and they've always done this for them. Otherwise, people will just pay the $1 to get a bunch of Steam keys to resell.

Quoting: TuxeeSo we have a bundle dedicated to charity and the "discussion" starts with bashing Humble Bundle and people feeling compelled to tell, why they are not donating.
Interesting.
More and more people just come to complain about anything I've noticed.

Have removed the read-only part, as based on feedback Microsoft has removed it from their official posts, as it shouldn't be needed as I mentioned.

I'm getting closer to helping them find the problem.

Seems the Edge browser cache gets stuck on something. Going to desktop mode, clearing the Edge cache and games work in gaming mode again. After a few games, it breaks again. Went back to desktop mode, cleared the cache again and yup - xcloud works in gaming mode once again. Have let MSFT know.

GOG update their stance on DRM-free, Galaxy as 'optional' for single-player

Quoting: brokkrI can't help feeling point number 1 doesn't do much to clear things up.

Wouldn't the release of Hitman (2016) on GOG be able to tick that box? Single player mode was accessible offline. Just not all of it. I would have given them more credit for including the word 'fully'. Or even 'fully*' with some allowable *-caveats.
I think that's the point of what they're saying, so stuff like HITMAN would now be allowed on.
