You can add stuff yourself!
Someone did, and it has been accepted into it.

Quoting: EikeAhh!
I thought about asking if we're not doing these this time. :)
Surprise ;)

I had to get a lot of upgrades in, as the GOTY was made in haste for the first time we did it and it was falling apart a bit. Now it's much smoother.

Quoting: GuestWhy the hell are you even writing about it on a gaming site?
I write about what ever the hell I want.

If it interests me, I write about it. If I think it might help others, I write about it. You know what games are made from right? Art.

The bottle for Wine 5.0 has officially been popped open as it's out now

Quoting: Saulsecsiramirez Does a release like this eventually help the development of proton?
Naturally, yes, since Proton is based on Wine. Over time Proton patches flow into normal Wine too, meaning less overhead for CodeWeavers/Valve and Wine gets better again for everyone.

Quoting: PangaeaRe-selling more steam keys I see (at least for the games I checked). Not interested then.
I've heard of dubious sellers reselling Steam keys sourced from HB, however I've not seen anybody suggest that HB are selling keys illegitimately. Care to elaborate on what you're objecting to?
I think they just meant they're not interested. Humble is a 100% legit store.

Google plan over 120 Stadia games this year, 10 coming to Stadia before other platforms

Quoting: Mountain ManI had forgotten that Stadia was even a thing. Seems like there was lots of hype about it, then it was released, and everybody promptly ignored it. Just doesn't seem like its made much of a splash.
I'd say that's because people don't want to jump in with both feet. Only the Premier edition is available now, which is $129 and comes with 3 months of "Pro" service. If I was me, I'd just want to sign up for one month and try it out using already-owned controller.

I do want to give it a try, but not for over $100. That's too steep to demo something when I already have a good computer, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
Yup, it's a big ask right now. Once Stadia Base is out, with anyone able to register for free and then try a free to play game or buy a game - it will be very interesting to see how the views on it change.

Steam reportedly coming to Chrome OS - Linux gaming across even more devices

Quoting: RedneckIt already works! I am a proud owner of an Asus C302ca and most (if not all) of the newer Chromebooks include the Play Store.
So I basically installed Steam for Android and I'm perfectly able to stream games from my HTPC.

I didn't test the Steam controller yet, but probably tomorrow I will test some csgo steaming with Mouse/KB and see how playable it is
We're not talking about Steam for Android.

When Kickstarter goes wrong for indie games: Drift Stage

Drift Stage was successfully funded on Kickstarter back in February of 2015, with a reasonable sum of $57,720 to make their modern take on retro racing a reality.
I think the problem is that this is not a reasonable sum. That amount of money funds at most a single person for one year. While it is not impossible for an experienced dev to make something good in such a time span, it is not an easy task either. Especially when you want code+art+sound+music, which generally requires multiple people.

When I see such numbers, I immediately wonder what other types of funding they have.
Reasonable in comparison to other projects I meant, not in in regards to how much a game costs to make for multiple people full time. Have adjusted to be clearer.

Chronicon, the excellent action-RPG now has much better gamepad support

Update: The developer tweaked the launch script as suggested, no manual changes needed so it should run nicely for anyone now.
