I loaded up Windows 10 sometime recently to ensure it was up to date and ready for benchmarks. I do it now and then so when I come to need to do so, I'm not doing half a year's worth of updating. This time, the Windows update decided to trash my bios over lock settings and the PC wouldn't boot. Yes that happened and a Google showed I wasn't alone. In short, fuck Windows 10.
Anyway, I suck at Bios settings and never got around to redoing it all.

Quoting: HoutwormHey Liam, Why is your CPU underclocked? the base frequency of your CPU is 3Ghz [External Link] You could easily push it to 4Ghz if you have proper cooling maybe even higher :) Even with the stock fan 3.5Ghz is a nice frequency :)Well let me tell you a little story.
Anyway, here are my results CPU [External Link] Vulkan [External Link] Geekbench4 (older version) [External Link]

Quoting: sigzprefer the ipv6 setting in first place if you can, it's never the good choice to have to modify the system to fix a program. As I understand it, ipv6 doesn't work on all servers so the TTL fix is likely the better option.

As for performance, no issues my end.

Quoting: marcusKeeping an eye on this but the reviews say that the trailer is misleading (regarding map size). There seems to be no planetary scale as suggested by the trailer or even map sizes close to it.Well if you're talking about the trailer in the article, I don't personally think it gives any indication that it would have a planetary scale. Just because it zooms out, doesn't mean anything really. The actual gameplay in the trailer gives you a good idea of the sizes.
Also I read in some comments/reviews that this was written in JS and incredibly slow even on powerful machines. Can someone here that owns the game confirm or refute this?

I've added an example working (tested myself) script for those that use Lutris.

Quoting: julkipOr you could just make Lutris do the settings with pre-launch and post-exit commands…Good tip, added!

Quoting: PatolaIt would be nice if you published the fix for the recent Origin network unavailability too, I lost a lot of time doing this one (and even the Lutris scripts does not automatically use the /noUpdate flag yet).I would love to be able to cover everything but I'm only one person with limited time and resources, plus not a single email came in about it whereas this was sent in.

Quoting: TcheyIt's a nice game, i have it and played it a little via Proton a few months ago.I've replied there but will do here too:
With this Linux build, via Linux, i launch the game, it runs (yeaaaah), but

- without gamepad or joystick or anything = impossible to move with mouse or keyboard, nothing happens, even in main menu. Impossible to quit the game, no Alt+F4 or anything, as the keyboard is like dead.
- with gamepad Xbox One USB : can play, no issue, but keyboard still not responsive at all
- starting without gamepad, then plug the gamepad, makes the gamepad active. Then i can play, no issue, but still keyboard dead.
Never had similar issue with any games before.

Quoting: 14My gut reaction to Micro Trailers: they will continue the shrinking of attention spans of entertainment consumers. While true, Valve are just like any other company, they need to go with what's going to help them pull in the sales so it does make sense.
