Quoting: GuestDoes this mean primusrun/optirun can finally support vulkan or? what? what's going on here? Is it just yet another utility to switch between intel and nvidia gpus between boots/logins?
It sounds like you didn't read the driver notes about the 435 series, like noted in the article. As noted it supports NVIDIA PRIME render offload feature for on demand (Optimus) functionality.

@eldaking: I get your point but it's quite rare for games to manage to actually pull people back in once they bounce off it and move on, that is true for Early Access as much as it is for Released games.

As for people taking unfinished games into "consideration", the reality is very different. People leave negative reviews all the time due to issues in unfinished games.

I should note, I hope I am wrong and that the current trend has a nice turn around. The problem is, I do have my doubts even if I greatly enjoy the gameplay. I've been trying to think on ways Valve could make players stick around more but no matter what they do, the basic gameplay will obviously stay the same and I think that's why a lot have left, since it's a very different type of strategy game.

Quoting: eldakingThe game is still in beta, it is a bit too early to look at player numbers and judge its success.
Hardly. The difference between alpha, beta, Early Access and so on in reality is nothing more than a name in the age of all games turning into practically an ever changing live service. Games have flopped hard after the "release" (just look at Artifact...), so have a great many others.

Vagrus - The Riven Realms, the dark narrative RPG surpasses more milestones on Fig and it's coming to GOG

Quoting: MohandevirWhen I read about games that seems to generate hype, like this one, I'm always affraid that Epic might join the fray with an exclusivity deal. Did they mention anything about this?
Not anything I've seen. This would likely be the absolute worst example of exclusives if it happened, since they're releasing Linux builds with every update and they've now confirmed GOG as well as Steam all while taking funding from Fig for an Early Access style model. In short, if they did, they would probably lose a lot of fans. I highly doubt they will, they seem to be getting a pretty good amount of funding on Fig as it is.

Your pre-weekend look at what's on sale and some free weekends

Quoting: 14Hmm... it doesn't looks like PoE II is on sale at GOG at the moment. I believe it was earlier in the week, though.
That's the trouble with GOG, store pages don't show time left like Humble and Steam do <_<

That's a very fair point when looking at XCOM 2 and I agree the micro trailer could help with stuff like that.

Quoting: BielFPsI wish Valve could force developers to put at least one actual image/video of the gameplay in the store page.
I hate when I see a new game which looks interesting in the picture, only to go to youtube and see that's another top view strategy game or something like this.
Hmm? Got an example of this? All Steam games pictures needs to be from gameplay.

The FOSS 2D game engine GDevelop continues advancing the 5.0 release

Quoting: pbI've been tempted to try Construct3 (my kid is looking to level up from Scratch but Godot scares him) but I hate their subscription model. GDevelop might be quite what I needed.
This is probably ideal then, once they learn the basic workflow GDevelop is quite interesting.

Won't Rockstar DMCA-nuke this into the ground ??
It requires you own the original game to play it, so they shouldn't be able to do anything. If they do and they manage to succeed, it would put basically any other similar project in a grey area: openXcom, OpenMW, OpenRA and so on.
