Here we go again...not getting into it. I made my point.

The E3 2019 Linux gaming round-up

Quoting: GeoGalvanicWhat about Stadia news and all the games that will be running on stadia?
Added newly announced.

Quoting: 14It was great to have this summary page. Thanks.
You're welcome! :)

Quoting: GuestCall me a Negative Nancy, but I'm not impressed. I wouldn't call any of those titles "big", except maybe Wasteland.
Not sure what you were realistically expecting? E3 has traditionally never had "big" Linux announcements. Again, it's why Steam Play was created to help with the lack of AAA.

Quoting: ArehandoroHold on... what about the first game? Is that also being remastered?

In any case, happy for this announcement and will get it for sure!
As far as I recall, the first game was never much of a hit, and the sequel can easily be played as a stand-alone game.
Actually I remember being the other way around. We had lots of news back then, I'm from Spain, telling how good the game was, how well it was selling in Europe, the controversy around it in Germany and stuff like that.

I never played much of Commandos 2, my PC was crap when the game released, until years later but also my friends talked less about it than with the first one.

Seems weird to me that if they are making a remaster they jump to Commandos 2 straightaway but hey, rather than being possibly easier to remaster a 3D engine rather than the original one.
Was about the say this, the original is likely too much work to remaster.

Find it on Kickstarter here.
This link isn't one. You meant https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/meganfox/skatebird-be-a-skateboarding-bird [External Link] ?
Apologies, link fixed.

WHAT THE GOLF? is another Linux game that's now going to the Epic Store first

Quoting: timgarbosDeveloper here. Totally get your concerns, but we are not trying to keep anything secret.
You can solve this in a verry simple way, if you really care for your backers, you will put the game on steam but not on sale and provide a key for your backers.
What do you say?
That's exactly what they said they will do, it's in the quote.

Quoting: BeamboomWhy birds, though? Why not just have regular human beings and make a good skate game with really cool locations? We're a bunch of people who are still waiting for a good one after S.K.A.T.E ended with the sequel.
I mean, what does it add to the game to have us be friggin' chicken? Who thought, "oh that'll sell some extra copies"?
It's cute, quirky and different and makes it stand out a little, it also sounds hilarious.

Sure, I would also like a proper full-on skating game, but this isn't meant to be a pro-skater game. They can both exist.

Humble are doing a big "Retro Paradise Sale" with a number of Linux titles super cheap

Quoting: PangaeaSigh.

-Hi, I'd like to buy a hammer.
-Here you go.
-This is just a note
-Yes. But you can bring it to a store across town that we pretend to compete with and get your hammer there.
-Why would I come here then?
-Thanks. NEXT!!

I miss when Humble Bundle was worth paying attention to. Before they had a store (funnily enough), and before they became a subcontractor for shteam.
Well Humble support Charity and us through a decent affiliate program, two good reasons ;)

Klei Entertainment hit the restart button on Griftlands, confirmed to come to Linux but Epic Store first

Quoting: stuffWait, next year it will be in early access on Steam? Then I don't see what's the problem with being on Epic store before. It will not even be finished, when launching on Steam. Calm down guys and let the Epic-Store-guys do the beta testing ;)
In cases like this, I don't mind too much. We get a more complete game, with confirmed Linux support from a developer with a good history of supporting us.
