Quoting: liamdaweYeah, the flying in Fugl is actually surprisingly good, I love the ability to hover a little and have a good look at my surroundings.
You can also close your wings mid-air, and do a nose-dive. :)
Yeah, it impressively makes my stomach go a bit due to my vertigo  that's how you know the flying is good.

Quoting: lqe5433On old computers, laptops, TVs this is a possibility to play AAA games in 1080p.
Which is why I've no doubt it will gain traction quite easily, there's a lot of people out there who really don't care about background elements being a little blurry, to be able to pay a small sub and play AAA titles basically anywhere. There's also tons who don't give a crap about DRM, modding and so on. It will find an audience, I've no doubt about it.

For me, I'm curious about it but it likely will never become a major part of my gaming. However, I still think it will really help Vulkan adoption which in the end helps us too.

Quoting: LinasFugl is often compared to Feather [External Link] (a.k.a. Fruits of a Feather), but in my opinion it feels more like swimming though a liquid than flying. Fugl, on the other hand, really nails the feeling of flight, and has amazing sound design.

It is a hard sell, because it is not a game to be played in prolonged periods. But for a 5 minute meditative session, it's perfect.
Yeah, the flying in Fugl is actually surprisingly good, I love the ability to hover a little and have a good look at my surroundings. I agree about the issue with playing it for longer periods, which is why I mentioned it still feels lacking currently. Such experiences are nice but if they want it to be anything other than a hard-niche they need to expand what you can actually do. That doesn't mean force any kind of linearity on it, but for an open-world game it doesn't have enough to keep your attention.

Quoting: buenaventuraCool! Watchtower sounds like a Starcraft bunker then :) I will give this a go sometime, is there an in game lobby or how do you find opponents?
It has servers for different regions, so you go in find a game or make one it seems, quite handy.

Visual Novel adventure 'Winds of Change' makes the first act free to try

Quoting: aFoxNamedMorrisWow. A visual novel with some real depth to it. I like that the characters have some realistic personality and that there is weight to some of the choices. Too many visual novels are just collections of gratuitous sexual content, bad writing, boring characters, and no sense of direction. This looks like a nice change of pace, and a step in the right direction.
I think all of that is likely why even I, who usually hates them, actually found myself interested in the world.

Quoting: liamdaweI spoke to VP, they said essentially it's not down to them as they don't have the rights for distributing it.
So why would 2K not do that, if they released the Windows version on GOG? We should contact 2K then, since looks like they are the bottleneck here.
Apparently the publisher just isn't bothered.

Industrial Petting sounds amusing, will have you farm strange animals and sell them

Quoting: PhiladelphusSeems interesting. Vaguely reminds me of Slime Rancher but with multiplayer, which is a big draw, as it might appeal to the friend I usually play with who's always looking for a new game to try.
That's the sorta feeling I got from it too.

Quoting: liamdaweI've reached out to VP to find out if they plan to get the Linux version of BioShock Infinite on GOG.
Thanks, I also wrote to them using this form: http://www.vpltd.com/contact/ [External Link]
Not sure if they'll respond though.

Quoting: iiariWhoa, where did Nix OS come from? It's about to overtake Manjaro in reports. Are there a few hyper-reporting users or is Nix OS a distro on the meteoric rise and I just haven't been paying attention?
It's likely a couple on it went on a mass reporting spree in the last month to make such an uptick.

Quoting: scaineVery tempted to make my second ever Steam Play purchase with A Plague Tale: Innocence. Still really uncertain about spending any money on a windows title though. Will probably hold off - still have plenty of native games to try out.
Same here for me ! "A Plague Tale: Innocence" looks awesome :D
I'm here to sign up for the Plague Tale club, very much wanting to take a look myself ^_^
