Everything has context, if you're going to tell a developer to "fix bugs" then be as helpful as you can. Just throwing that out at a developer, is obviously going to get a comparable response. People following it up with comments like "ignorance and arrogance at its best" to the developer is incredibly stupid. I'm growing very tired of some of the attitudes people throw at developers and then create an issue out of it to spread here or on Reddit. Stop that shit now.

Like I said, don't start a witch hunt. I will be deleting any further replies trying to keep that going. Use your brain.

Quoting: NanobangAlso, Liam, I Gimped a quick BG logo for the article to use instead of the grey/white penguin pic. I've uploaded it to Imgur [External Link], it's 720 x 320 px and hopefully can just be dropped into where you need it. Hope you can use it :)
Better? :)

Quoting: Alm888Alas, the damage has already been done [External Link] to the PR of this developer with the Linux community.

Who wants to give her/his money to a developer that is quick to dismiss the byuer just because it randomly wants to do so? What about future entries in the series? Will the developer decide to support or not based on our behavior (like, how often we complain, what attitude do we have when we are doing so)?
I would rather we didn't create a witch hunt with such things. They're doing Linux support now, as they said and we should remain happy and polite.

I assume their community manager was just having an off-day, although looking at the context the user they were replying to did join the discord and share a Reddit post in it about people not buying their games - they didn't help themselves and it was a bit of an ass thing to do in the developers official discord channel. If I was on the team, I would have been annoyed by that too.

Edit: Edited after looking up the context of it.

Quoting: MacabreHeartDirect selling worked for very few games which is why we have the distrubution platforms we have.
I will argue that point. We have what we have today all because of Steam, as they basically forced it requiring it for certain games and features and eventually expanded and it eventually became a standard. Not because direct selling didn't work.

The GOG winter sale is officially here, with plenty of Linux games and a giveaway

Quoting: EMO GANGSTERhow do I get free copy of Full Throttle Remastered to launch through Steam in Linux mint it in the game library on mint but doesn't show up on add games list, tried linking the start.sh but nothing happens
From what I remember, the Steam client doesn't handle folder names with spaces well. If you go into the link properties, you will probably see the folder path is cut off.

Some thoughts on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s Danger Zone, the new Battle Royale mode
12 Dec 2018 at 8:59 pm UTC

Quoting: x_wingI agree with most of the impressions, Liam. But I completely disagree with ammo shortage. In my opinion, if they allow more ammunition the current Danger Zone can become a shooting range, with people just moving to the highest point of the map and start snipping everything that moves.

I really like the idea of having low ammunition and have think twice before starting an attack. This is probably one of the reasons why CSGO pro players doesn't shine on this mode.
I agree to an extent, which is why I mentioned nothing drastic. A slight increase will make it just a bit more interesting, while still preventing bullet spam.
