Quoting: Power-Metal-GamesValve knows what they are doing without any suggestions. I felt like an idiot just by reading this.Valve might have some good ideas, but they're not infallible. If anything, some decisions they've made in the past few years should make that quite apparent. There's absolutely nothing wrong with BTRE (or anyone) voicing their opinion and suggestions. To say you feel like an idiot, for reading a bit of humour with some interesting ideas is pretty disrespectful.
Quoting: Power-Metal-GamesIt's not probably that some Epic store will win and take the place that Valve has. Some games have already completely cancelled their Steam release, some have delayed them and so on. It has already begun. It might not be drastic right away, but a lot of developers are talking about moving over to the Epic store.

Have absolutely no clue why you would think Valve would be "pissed".

Quoting: jarhead_hQuite frankly I think that if I were Valve reading that I'd be pretty pissed.Eh? Not sure why you came to that conclusion. I fully agree with BTRE here, especially the point on taking even a 1-2% cut if a developer does a multiplatform game. Not just to help foster Linux games, but to support a healthy developer community to give them just a little more support for branching out.

Honestly, I would like to see Ubuntu have something more official for this in future.

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoI wonder why this driver in not yet available at Ubuntu ppa?The PPA team is aware, they also have jobs as well (this isn't their job), so updates to the PPA are essentially whenever they have free time to do so.

The drone system is boring? What makes you say that? It makes the gameplay incredibly dynamic.

Quoting: ageresIt works if I unplug my Logitech F710 receiver (Steam Controller can still be plugged in).Speak for youself. I find this to be the best mode available in CS:GO easily. Mine runs over over 100FPS the majority of the time :)
Anyway, this mode sucks. Runs at 27-50 fps, 16 people only, the drone system is boring, and the outdated gameplay of Counter-Strike doesn't fit to battle royale.

Quoting: DaidMain developer here. Not super actively working on it anymore.Sure. Was simply going by your official info provided. The GitHub literally says:
However:
Currently, they're only providing packages for Windows and only "guarantee" support for WindowsLinux support is guaranteed to work, we run our setup on network booting linux systems. But there is not a pre-build linux version, because I didn't want to figure out how to best provide that.
but only Windows support is guaranteed.
