Yes, I honestly feel sorry for Feral.
And considering Twitter posts by some of their devs,
they're quite worried about Steamplay/Proton. :/

As much as I value Feral's work, having to wait a year or so for a port when a bunch don't get cross-platform online play I completely understand why some won't wait. I hope Feral don't stop, as their work is fantastic but they will need to find a way to get ports out quicker. At least they seem to be announcing sooner now, so that's a good start.

Works fine on my OpenSUSE Tumbleweed system. The videos are rather lumpy but the gameplay is fairly smooth on my GTX 970.

Yes, they did multiple patches and so now it should work.

My main grips with the game are the AI as Liam explained, but mainly the build system, i find it really not intuitive at all.

I didn't play the last few updates, maybe it feels better, but it's a game i want to like, but didn't, until now.

Going by the release notes, your request made it in:

In item build mode you can hold alt or middle click to bring up a selectable menu of items to place. This makes dealing with the longer lists much easier.

Sweet, picked up a copy then, can't be bothered to wait to see if I get a key from VP or not.

May have thoughts up on it in a few days.

Edit: Choppy intro video, choppy camera when making character, first race: crash to desktop. Going well. Second race attempt: Crash to desktop.

Tried to race for the third time, this time disabled the Steam Controller. Crashed to desktop. So, Career mode is completely broken.

However, Time Attack mode works.

Compound mode, hit a tractor or something and...game crashed to desktop.

Yeah, this is not release ready.

Switch is seling because:
1)its fucking PORTABLE
2)it has Nintendo exclusives, Nintendo was not dead in the last 30 years, they were relasing sucessfull games every generation, they were sucessfull to port mario to 3D (unlike many others) and they keep making mario 2D games, they were sucessfull with many other exclusive franchises, either new ones or continuing to make old ones.

why would anyone sane buy this thing instead?
unless they are an blind linux fanboy or atari fanboy?

I said nothing about the Switch, I said classic consoles. I mean the NES/SNES mini consoles, even Sony are doing a classic PlayStation.

Why would anyone buy this? They had enough people excited to gain well over 11K backers on IndieGoGo, don't underestimate hype for such devices.

i think the Intellivision new console has an better proposal than this thing, at least its unique.

Simply adding an icon makes no difference. As I've said before, the only time this truly matters is for companies like Feral who take on the publishing and development side for Linux. As far as I understand, VP ports work entirely different and they're paid either way.

Well, I'd think it does matter for some internal tracking to evaluate if future ports make sense. Whoever (Milestone or VP) does decide if ports of later games are worth it. Right?

Personally, I think people put far too much thought into this. No matter where you buy from, developers see the stats of who is playing on Steam.
