Quoting: Craggles086Resource gathering? It's an RTS, it's nothing like Civ which is a turn-based 4x. So yes, it's more like Settlers, and Age of Empires and all other RTS.
Does that sound more like the Settlers games, rather than something you would see in Civ?

Quoting: PhlebiacI guess we can't tweak the donation slider to increase the amount sent to GoL any more. :sad:Afraid not, and a lot of adblockers have the newer links in them, so it's...not great for us now.

Quoting: Pikolo"An error occurred while launching the game: No licenses" is what I get trying to redeem it. Which seems like a historical reconstruction going by the Ars Technica article about it's launch. It may take a little time, as they have to correct all the various Steam content branches and key sets for it. There's quite a few.

If they sell them on the basis of it working on a particular system (or version), and people can still install that system somewhere, they don't have to actually do anything. It's the same across Steam, Epic - anywhere. Except in this case, GOG are ensuring the games work on the latest versions.

Quoting: pbKinda moot, of course they need to keep the games in playable state if they want to sell them. But a net positive nevertheless. Not quite.

Quoting: YoRHa-2BAmazing! Thanks for coming to confirm! Great stuff.Hopefully then, this will mean less potential lock-ups in certain games on systems like the Steam Deck, which has in the past been a bit notorious for VRAM spiking up and then the system just locking up. Something I and many others have seen in God of War and various other AAA games.FWIW, this was a big reason to do this kind of rework. God of War pretty much went from locking up the Deck after like 10 minutes of teleporting around to being pretty much stable in my testing, at least on default settings. Recent SteamOS updates help too.

Quoting: RandomizedKirbyTree47The affiliate link doesn't work for me on Firefox 132.0.1: I just get taken back to this page. That will be your blocklists in your plugins. At some point they decided to stop showing you a message and just auto-close. Not something I can solve, and I've told people this repeatedly: it's a terrible UX choice for users to do that.
