There’s no reason to expect they will pull it. They’re one of Linux’s earliest Steam supporters, it’s worked for a long time now.

Having a decent cross-platform modding tool is going to be such a big boost. Not just specifically for us, but also for people moving between platforms to be able to use the same familiar tool. I'm really hopeful about this one and it's looking good but slow going.

As mentioned in my guide explainer: Proton Hotfix is primarily for specific games when they need it. So it's set in place for that game.

It's not supposed to be constantly updated, that's the entire point of Proton Experimental, which is the testing ground to add everything that affects everything.

Update #2 8:07PM: seems Valve got the message, and they've updated it. The Steam Deck on the weekly global top seller for the week beginning January 14th was actually 4th, not 47th.
