Quoting: lucifertdarkI thought they removed it from sale back when they first released TITANS?They kinda messed it all up, but I'm glad they finally done it properly. What they're doing now, is what they should have done from the beginning.

Quoting: KristianInteresting.. so they are like companion games?Yes, both usually updated around the same time when it makes sense unless it's something very specific to one of them.

Quoting: KristianI take these two games are related somehow? Same developer?Same developer, same engine, same war but two different fronts.

Quoting: gigasmackI loved playing NS2, however I found that the community was quite toxic. Even when playing on servers marked as "Learning" servers, you had those asshats that just couldn't deal with you not knowing how to play perfectly. Maybe it's different now. I'll be sure to give it another shot. The game I was in for a while today had a guy who moaned once, then he suddenly completely changed and ended up just telling people what to do, was quite nice actually.

A writer for Forbes has been talking about the positives of switching to Linux

When Phoronix often talks about 100+ hour weeks with his site, well, he's not kidding. I would say my average week just doing this is around 60-70 hours a week. The problem is, half of what I do just isn't seen. Talking to developers, getting the word out speaking to people for things like this, giving developers advice, testing games before release and so on. It all adds up on top of actually getting stuff written to display to people to show for it all.
Edit: words, wrong, something

If you want it to remember you're okay with cookies, here's a hint: click the preferences link ;)

Quoting: mondalaciIs this "Accept cookies" bullshit necessary for every single video playback?! I have to press the button, then click on the video. It's a tad overkill, and hurts the usability of the site. What if the site remembered that the user accepted the cookies previously, so this overlay would only be displayed before accepting them?To comply with GDPR it is needed.

The developer of the dungeon crawler Gloomhaven is keeping an eye on Linux support requests

Yeah, there's plenty of other games - but not for the people who want this particular title.

Quoting: Mountain ManI still don't get this attitude. Of course there are people on Linux who will be interested. Why wouldn't there be? If developers did their jobs right and targeted cross platform from day one then releasing a Linux version wouldn't be a big deal. Seriously, the Linux gaming market has matured way past the point where we should be begging for developers to support us. If they make a Linux version, great. If they don't, it's their loss. There are plenty of other games for us to choose from.I really think it's time people put the "begging" comment back in the box. It's not begging to show your support for someone, for a developer who is unsure. The reality is we're still a sub-1% market on Steam, some need a little push and I'm happy to help the push. We have absolutely not matured to the point where we don't need to ask for more games, how many games still don't release for Linux? A lot.

inXile will be 'all hands are on deck' to get the Linux version of The Bard's Tale IV out as soon as possible

Quoting: GuestYou're right, I've made an adjustment to the title to be a bit more clear. The Windows version is still on schedule for the 18th and then all hands are on deck to get the Mac and Linux versions out as fast as we can.Pretty clearly sounds like it won't be a day-1 release to me! So their hands are not on deck now, but will be after the Windows release. Sad we won't be getting it day-1 but oh well, hopefully it'll be a good game!
