Quoting: Colombowhat does it mean "turn based combat with real time base-building elements"? To me it sounds like one of those web games.Battles will be turn-based, but you build your base in real time like and RTS. Exactly how it sounds, but I haven't played it yet to be 100% clear. Will wait for a key.
The Talos Principle has another stable build with Vulkan improvements, much better than OpenGL

Quoting: t3gI'm confused. The post says stable build but you tell us to use the beta. Which one is it?Fixed, it's on the stable branch now.

Quoting: LeopardGood to see someone understands it. :) OpenGL performance on my hardware is way below what DX does on Windows. Vulkan makes it more than acceptable and should do the same for others.Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoObviously You gonna have good performance with that powerfull hardware... :|There is no need for that reachable hardware.Look at his OpenGL performance. It's way terrible for that kind of hardware. That's how OpenGL kills the hardware.
I would like to see a benchmark with a more realistic and reachable hardware: core i3 and a GTX 750ti, for example.
And I would like to see the difference against the OpenGL mode, the Vulkan mode and the DirectX mode of the windows version of the game with the same hardware, so We can have more extensive information :)
Actually when game runs great;who cares about DirectX?

Quoting: Jahimself@Liam I play the game since a while, and I found your review pretty accurate. You highlighted all that needs to be mentioned about this game. Very good job! Thanks a lot, glad to know DiRT Rally veterans approve of the review :)

Quoting: scaineIs there a rewind option, like the Forza games? That was a nice compromise between realistic and not-frustrating. Of course, only non-rewind laps counted in a leaderboard, but if you just wanted to blast round having fun, rewind was essential. No, I haven't seen any indicator of this. It does have a "reset car" function if it detects that you're stuck to put you back on track with a small penalty, but that's it. It's realism focused.
Steel Division: Normandy 44 RTS announced by Paradox & Eugen Systems (UPDATED)

Update: It turns out, someone at Paradox ticked the Linux box without checking and it is in fact not coming to Linux [External Link]. I was told the system icons were a 'placeholder'. Helpful, really helpful.

Well, something to think on, is that if Vulkan does bring the performance improvements we all hope (and it looks like it will in most cases), upgrading might not be needed for some of us for even longer.
Like my 980ti right now, it can play any game I throw at it. When Vulkan becomes more common, it will probably allow me to continue using it for an additional year I reckon. So I might even be able to wait until Navi (the one after Vega).

I'm not mad, angry, or anything. It's a little weird when people do something silly and get called out on it, to claim the other person is "mad". I see this all the time across the net, it's really weird
Seriously, I don't know how calmer I could be. I'm sat here sipping cola and eating a chocolate covered thingymabob. ^_^
For the record and final comment on it: It serves no purpose to tell us "this news is from x ago".
Now, let's get this back on topic shall we? :woot:

Quoting: LeopardWow,i think that place is only reserved for praises which you call them "helpful".So if writing "that's wonderful news" is helpful,so be it.You're fully welcome to comment, but again, your post was basically pointless as pointed out by others now too.
I guess you should learn to check your temper and being honest. You're not calm, which is obvious.By the way,i think you should tinker quote mess GoL has. This became a very "helpful" comment i guess.
Look,i love this site and people in it;even i had some argues. But as the head of this site, you should check your attitude. If i'm being silly, then don't fall to silly level,ok?If my comment was not helpful then don't mind, which you should do in first place if you really think this is unhelpful.

Quoting: LeopardI am perfectly calm, I'm just wondering why you posted such a silly and unhelpful comment and pointed out to you it's not needed and adds nothing to the discussion.Quoting: liamdaweWow,calm down bro.Annoying you is really easy i guess.Quoting: LeopardYou being aware, doesn't mean everyone is aware.Quoting: liamdaweI've talked about these images actually, not this video.Since then everybody was aware that Steam is on to some changes.Quoting: LeopardThat leak happened a month ago.Your point being? The video is from only a few days ago, which gives the leak some extra merit.
We often cover news after it has happened to wait and see if anything else comes of it.
Unhelpful "this is from x ago!" comments don't provide anything to the conversation, and only serve to annoy me and the other editors.
I didn't mean anything negative,just pointed "ehh,that's nothing new".
