Quoting: LeopardThat leak happened a month ago.
Your point being? The video is from only a few days ago, which gives the leak some extra merit.
I've talked about these images actually, not this video.Since then everybody was aware that Steam is on to some changes.
You being aware, doesn't mean everyone is aware.

We often cover news after it has happened to wait and see if anything else comes of it.

Unhelpful "this is from x ago!" comments don't provide anything to the conversation, and only serve to annoy me and the other editors.

Quoting: liamdaweGlad you guys enjoyed it. It's all part of the fun watching me fail to play games after a long day :)

I enjoy the chat in the Twitch channel too, keeps me going :D

I think HL2 will be finished within the next week, so we shall move onto doing Portal 2 co-op with myself and Samsai.
Oooh.. I'm looking forward to that. I assume he'll be on voice as well? I enjoy his banter. :)
How else are you going to enjoy him calling me an idiot? :D

I've adjusted the article. It's possibly you're seeing regional pricing, but to be clear I've removed the price mention.

Some thoughts on Realpolitiks, a real-time grand strategy game now on Linux

some deep, yet accessible gameplay
Well, the demo, and the reviews on Steam, and the forum discussions, seem to say the opposite, as the lack of depth and cohesion is what is lacking to the game. Unless they release paths and (free) DLC to add layers of gameplay, it's pretty shallow, and easy to see everything you can do within the game in 5-10 hours.

I'd like to like it, but from my (little) experience, i don't.
Most of those people are likely comparing it to the overly deep experiences found in Paradox games and a few others, comparatively Realpolitiks isn't deep, but to me it still has plenty of depth in it.

Narita Boy, an absolutely incredible looking 2D scroller with RPG elements is on Kickstarter

Quoting: KeyrockOh good another retro sidescroller, it's not like there is a veritable deluge of these coming out every week. At least this one has some really nice looking pixel art and animations.
Yeah, we do have a fair amount of them, but this one truly looks brilliant. Most are usually "meh".

Quoting: BeamboomPersonally I think it's madness from a indie company to make an online/competitive game only. As a game mode, sure go ahead, maybe even the main attraction, but make sure there are single player content there as well. Don't make your game totally dependent on others to succeed.

It can work, by all means, there are examples of that. But usually it doesn't and leaves a lot of disappointed purchasers. The critical minimum of active players for it to work is really quite high, because of timezones and the fact that nobody hangs online for long if there are no activity, making it hard to accumulate players for online matches.
I, sadly, agree a lot. It takes a lot for a new online game to become popular, you have to have a very polished base right away or the majority of people will try it a few times and probably not come back.

I really want a decent mech combat game, which is why I hope the HGA developers can quickly get the game up to scratch.

Quoting: liamdaweI am just surprised by the absolutely determined pessimistic attitudes by some, it makes me wonder why they visit if only to downplay our progress, it's strange. :)
No one's negative or pessimistic here! We just did not agree on the cause of said progress.
Perhaps I just got the wrong idea of you from your previous posts then, hard to tell someone's tone through text :)

Quoting: liamdaweFeel free to keep arguing, but I don't see a point in continuing it on with you. We have obviously very opposing views here and I do have other work to do :)
Yes, articles won't write themselves! I feel I already wasted enough of your time. Thank you! ;)
